Frequently asked questions

No, the RAM in the MacBook Air M2 is soldered to the motherboard and is not user-upgradable. It's essential to choose the right amount of RAM at the time of purchase based on your needs.

A 'Renewed Premium' MacBook Air has been inspected, tested, and refurbished by Amazon-qualified suppliers or the manufacturer itself. It comes with a minimum 90-day warranty and is deemed to look and work like new, ensuring a high quality of refurbishment.

The keyboard layout, specifically the QWERTY English configuration, is fixed and cannot be physically changed. However, you can adjust the input settings in macOS to work with different languages or keyboard layouts.

The MacBook Air M2 offers up to 18 hours of battery life depending on usage. The renewed status does not typically affect the battery life significantly, as the refurbishment process includes checking the battery condition to ensure it meets Apple's standards.

I was a bit nervous about purchasing a renewed MacBook, especially since I only had one previous experience with used items (a perfect working pair of Beats Solo 3). After doing a lot of research and watching reviews on YouTube, I decided this was the way to go, since I already own an M2, and I am very pleased with my decision!! The MacBook looks brand new—no scratches or fingerprints at all! Wow!! The battery life is at 100%, It performs like new, speed is fast so far. It's also incredibly lightweight and easy to use, making it perfect for both work and travel! Plus, buying renewed allowed me to save some money. If you're considering a renewed MacBook, I highly recommend it!!!!! ... show more

Brand New!!

I received my MacBook Air (2022 M2) today. I charged it to full capacity and have using it all day and only used 10 percent battery. Of course this is with typing up documents and using the web. Let me tell you, this laptop is not refurbished. It came in the original SEALED Apple packaging! This seller is amazing when it comes to these laptops. I was amazed that it is new and in the original packaging. The cost was less than buying on the Apple store and is worth every penny. This MacBook Air is so quiet! No fans to annoy me when downloading updates or prolonged use. This is exactly what I needed to replace my 10 year old MacBook. The M2 processor is very fast and the keys are actually satisfying to type on. The trackpad is huge and is perfect for browsing the web and documents. If you're on the fence about buying a refurbished Apple laptop, get it from this seller!! I bought the midnight color. Love it! It does keep a lot of fingerprints though so I keep the microfiber cloth handy...😂 ... show more

Charger doesn’t work
Color: Midnight Capacity: 8GB RAM - 512GB SSD Storage Style: 8-core GPU Set: Renewed Premium
I opened the product and the laptop itself seems fine, but I was sent a charger that doesn’t work, and Amazon support is unable to help and claims they “don’t carry parts.” Cannot send me a new charger or even provide a refund or gift card in the amount of a new charger. My only option would be to send the whole laptop back, wait weeks for a refund, and then try to re-order and hope all the parts actually worked. Or they said I can try calling Apple, but Apple will not guarantee warranty on any refurbished product, so that would be a dead end. At this point I already started importing my info over to the new laptop, and cannot return it. I will just buy my own charger, but this has been very frustrating and honestly not worth the couple $$ you save with refurbished. I would recommend just buying new from Apple. ... show more

Good value

This MacBook Air is a replacement for a 2016 MacBook Plus where the screen and a thunderbolt port had given out. So far I am impressed, it arrived promptly and looks brand new, no cosmetic flaws seen, MacOS Monterey was installed. The major problem I have had has been in transferring data from the old machine to the new, this has always been simple in the past, but this time around was a nightmare:- no screen on the old MacBook, a change of modem, router and password by my internet provider in the interval before receiving the new laptop and various software incompatibilities with the new silicon chip system in the new machine. So far I have managed to retrieve data from the cloud (with difficulty) but I cannot connect wirelessly to my printer and am totally unable to scan. I now plan to repair the old MacBook plus as a backup. On the positive side, the Air is lighter, runs a lot cooler and has a MagSafe power connector then two thunderbolt ports, a big improvement over the Plus which only had two thunderbolt ports which also were the power connection. For my uses its' performance is indistinguishable from the MacBook plus. ... show more

Worth every penny, the laptop works like it’s brand new but it does collect fingerprints easily the battery can last for several hours & only needs to recharge once a day super lightweight and cuts on very quickly

Overall good, charger however doesn't work.

The macbook itself only has a tiny scratch on the top but it's barely noticeable. The charger however did not work. The block that goes into the wall doesn't work, i had to order a new one. But for the price of the macbook it's perfect ! I would highly recommend it , but plan on ordering a new charger. ... show more

Basically Brand New!
Color: Starlight Capacity: 8GB RAM - 256GB SSD Storage Style: 8-core GPU Set: Renewed Premium
I can’t believe how flawless this laptop is. I kind of expected to have some sort of issue or flaws (at least minor) and have run across nothing of the sort. The body of the computer is undamaged, and it performs beautifully. There’s plenty of storage, it’s fast and efficient, easy to use, and 100% worth the cost! I know it’s a lot of money to spend on a refurbished product, but this is the second time we have purchased a refurbished Mac in the last 10 years and have been thrilled with the purchase both times. I’m even trying to convince my mom to go this route when her current laptop finally dies. Overall we have been really happy with this laptop, and the 1 year warranty makes it even more worth it! ... show more
