  • Good deal on 7-year old MacBook Air
Upgraded from the same model from 2010 and the normal "Migration" from the old to the new went seamlessly. The new had a slightly older version of the same OS as the old 2010 unit, but I was not able to upgrade it. I spent hours researching online trying to figure out why and found (based on some of the previous settings deep in the bowels of the settings) that it had been in use at Cal Tech, so I'm guessing upgrading the OS was locked out by design. After another few hours of research I was able to find a way to boot up into one particular flavor of "recovery mode" that allowed me download the latest build of Monterey 12.7.5. Sweet! :-) I thought I was home free after that, but then the Thunderbird email client would not send email from a 25-year old ATT/Yahoo account. Here's a tip that I wish I knew a few days ago (another 3-4 hours wasted): if you're using an email client to organize your email (like Thunderbird), you now need to use a "Secure Mail Key", a 16-digit number generated from the host's email server and that replaces the password. These Secure Mail Keys are DEVICE SPECIFIC, meaning that if they are "migrated" over from an older machine they will (should) NOT work on a different machine. My problem was that the old Secure Mail Key from the 2010 machine DID work to retrieve email (and that was a bug, as it should NOT have worked for incoming either). That threw me off thinking that the problem was somewhere else and I messed around with my three machines for hours before braving the tech support line at ATT. I finally got through to a live human who was very helpful (even though ATT insists that they "don't support Thunderbird" and want to funnel you to their options so that they can put their advertising in front of your face constantly). Once he gave me that tidbit of info and I logged on under the sub-account to be able to create a new Key, all was well with the world. :-) So far it's working great and the battery is at about 90% capacity fully charged, so not bad for a 7-year old machine, and you just can't beat the price. :-) ... show more

  • INFINITE LOOP
I was rooting that this would be a great purchase. I grabbed the highest quality I could but the laptop wouldn’t function properly. The seller did send me a new one and advised of an extended warranty, but when I got the other laptop it was good until I tried to update. Now it’s stuck in an infinite loop and seller advised they would correct the issue but hadn’t heard from them. Well once I advised if it can’t be resolved I would prefer a refund since I purchased this for classes. Knowing my issue they advised that they will refund once my info was removed from laptop. But how can I remove it if it’s in an infinite loop? ... show more

  • Just what I needed! Fast delivery!
I was hesitant to buy a refurbished computer but so far I am really liking it and it fits all my needs. The only thing I wish it had was better battery life and a better charger. The charger “works” but it’s finicky. It has to sit just right in the outlet in order for it to charge and at times makes noises. So if I could change anything a new charger would be nice. Other than that I am pleased. My order was time sensitive and I didn’t see an option for faster shipping so I reached out to them expressing my concern and situation. They expressed they would do what they could to get it to me on time. I’m happy to say it arrived on time and so thankful it did. ... show more

  • No complaints/Highly recommended
Easy setup, works great with everything even my cricket machine. Great item, no need to spend $1000s of dollars. I selected the best condition and there was only a tiny tiny insignificant scratch on the bottom that you can only see if it’s upside down and the light hits it at the right angle. Highly recommend ... show more

  • This computer is horrible.
I ordered this computer for $500 I believe and when I received it it had a couple chips here and there nothing to bad when I turned it on it was pretty glitch but it worked. About 2 hours later the computer kept shutting off and back on even while the battery was at 36% and then just completely shut off and wouldn't turn back on. I charged it for about 2 days until I had enough, I took the computer off the charger and let it sit for a day then plugged it back in, throughout these days it said it was charging but it would never turn on also not to mention every 5 seconds the battery percentage would go down until it completely ran out. ... show more

Just an amazing product like a new Apple Mac !! I was reluctant to get this product because it was renewed thus, I was not sure what to expect. • Inadequate packaging, worn out battery
The seller didn’t pack MacBook Air properly, it was a lot of gap in the box. Fortunately mine came safety, without damage. The condition of the unit was great, except battery. It doesn’t even hold half hour. Seller definitely knows this. You will have to replace the battery.
