I selected the "acceptable" condition because I'm just a student who needed a small laptop to carry to class. After seeing some reviews about their laptops being damaged (possibly occurring during transport) I still took the chance -- and I'm certainly thankful that I did! The only damage I've noticed is a small scratch on the side/corner of the laptop (on a profile that I don't frequently check), a smear on the screen that I am unable to wipe off, and damage to a few of the letters on the keyboard. The laptop didn't arrive the cleanest, but I was able to clean it off myself. I recommend this for students or individuals on a budget. Please keep in mind that you will need to update the software quite a bit, before the macbook is able to support certain downloads such as Microsoft Word. ... show more

I was iffy about it because of there price but I can't complain it was a really good deal for an over hyped laptop MacBooks are crazy expensive when they're brand new so finding a used one for a third of the price was the way to go I highly recommend it get one I got it the next day it had almost no scuffs or scratches its basically what the describe it to be I got mine in excellent condition there's two other tiers as well from excellent condition to good condition and ok/passable condition which all range price ... show more

So I bought this laptop in 2020 originally, and it was perfect until I broke it (which was entirely my own fault lol, nothing wrong with the laptop itself). Luckily I managed to find this listing again and got another this year, and it's just as great as the first!! The screen is bright and has no scratches or anything, the keys all work, it came with a working charger too. It has a sliiiight dent near one of the front corners on the outside, but honestly you can't even tell unless you're actively feeling it out! Super great deal for a broke student trying to get an actual laptop that will work for more than a semester or two! I don't particularly care about having "new" apple products though, to be fair. I have been hesitant to buy refurbished electric devices, especially things like computers which will store important personal data. However, I decided to give it a shot this time. Turns out I made a mistake. There are some obvious cosmetic defects in appearance, which is not out of expectation given the fact that this is not a new one. What is not acceptable and makes me decide to return it is that when I was transferring the data from my old IMac to it, it restarted all of a sudden with the screen showing something like "the computer needs to restart because of a problem." So I had to start over everything. The same situation happened again and again afterwards, which drove me crazy. It was just three days after I received it. What would happen after I keep it and use it for six months, one year, or two years? Money is one thing, but what if it totally collapses and the personal files stored in it can't be retrievable? So the best option for me is to return it before anything worse happens. I will not make the same mistake again. ... show more

The actual laptop is in great condition, works beautifully, etc. so I give five stars to the seller. Apple I would give 2.5 stars to on this one. What I didn't realize is that Apple totally screwed up their product by skimping on the camera. Apparently it's a production choice from 2018 to at least 2020. My 2015 MacBook has a beautiful, clear, crisp image but this one is super dark and grainy, regardless of my lighting or how clean my camera lens is. I am a telehealth provider so my life revolves around zoom calls. Despite really liking the laptop itself, I am considering returning the product and getting something that better meets my needs :/ 2 stars for Apple ... show more
