I’ve purchased a refurbished MacBook off of Amazon back in 2013 so I’m not new to this. However I was very skeptical at first of how inexpensive the price was and the supposed condition. I have to say the seller definitely surpassed my expectations. Pros: delivery was beyond quick! I received my laptop earlier than the expected arrival date - the set up was quick and easy (I did have a bit of trouble signing into my iCloud account from the start-up but once I skipped and continued with the set up I was able to sign into my iCloud once the laptop was up and running) - quality is great! Very minor scratches on the BOTTOM of the laptop (I already placed a cover over the laptop so I’m clearly not focused on those scratches) no scratches on the front of the laptop or the keyboard and mouse track pad. Cons: - the battery condition is labeled normal which is still good, just the life cycle of the battery has me a bit worried. It’s about 373 currently. I know that it’s all up to me to keep the condition of my battery up to par from now moving forward. Other than that I have no complaints! The seller did a really good job refurbishing this laptop! I just want to say how happy I am with this purchase. I still can't believe what an incredible deal I just got. First of all , it look brand new. Also, it was here a day early. It works perfectly and even came with a new charger. What a great seller! It's definitely a five star purchase. I only have one small concern . The box that it came in had no packing material. I have seen the way UPS,USPS and FedEx handle packages. I am just saying that the packaging could be improved, that's all. Having said that, I am 100 percent satisfied. So I originally bought this MacBook because I’m starting a YT channel and wanted to make it easier for myself by having all apple products (to share data across the cloud and run the programs I want smoothly) When it arrived it was in fantastic condition considering it was previously owned. Minor bumps / scratches but overall the quality was great. Here’s the issue I encountered: I couldn’t download iMovie or any other actual video editing app since the MacOS was capped at an out of date version. Also, I couldn’t get my pictures or videos uploaded onto the Mac because it couldn’t hold them / there wasn’t enough storage (even though I hadn’t downloaded any of my actual apps or videos yet) Overall it would’ve been great if I was strictly using it for searching the web / class work. Unfortunately I already have a desktop for that purpose and more. Ended up buying a new MacBook Pro but I was really hoping to save with this option. Of course it’s from 2017 so I knew there was a possibility of it not working out. Anyway, I’ve just returned it and should see the fund back soon. Communication has been fine with the seller.     • 5-star but one thing you should know
For the price, this is a great laptop! However, if you do order this, make sure you ask the seller to upgrade to the highest available before shipping. If you are NOT well versed in how to find updates (and no, this one you have to actually look for manually) you might need to pay someone to upgrade for you. I was unable to install some apps that required 12.0 or higher and then is when I discovered the issue. This machine will only upgrade to a certain iOS or os and will not upgrade any higher ever. That is the only downside. I will say that the seller promptly offered a refund and were very nice but I was glad I worked it out myself even if it cost me a little more to pay someone to do what I couldn't figure out. Bought this “refurbished” “used” MacBook. I only use the quotes because I don’t believe this was used at all. It is in perfect working condition, cosmetically perfect. It had to be mis advertised because there is no way this is used. Perfect perfect perfect.
