I recently purchased a new handgun that came with a very nice zip up canvas case. The problem was that the magazines were arranged in such a manner that the handgun would rest on top of the magazines and therefore it would get scratched up. I bought this foam padding to protect the handgun when stored inside the canvas case. I did have to cut it down a bit to match the internal size of the case, but this was easy enough. What I don't like is that the padding is much rougher, not very soft, than I would have liked or I would have otherwise given this a 5 star review. It certainly does the job very well though.

This product is offered in different sizes so finding one to fit your case should be EZ. I used this foam to replace the Pluck Foam the came with my case and it works better and looks cleaner

Make a case for your laptop with a Pelican style case and some of this foam and never worry about damaging it again. You can cut this stuff easily with a sharp knife and glue it together with spray adhesive.

Excellent density, not too soft or too firm. For my project, I needed to put the 24”x24” blocks into 23”x23” drawers, and could easily compress them to fit cleanly without cutting. However, I could not make clean, precise “internal cuts” by hand, so I would have liked it if one side was solid foam and the other side was “pick and pull” squares cut half-way through such that the side used could be which ever fit the user’s preference and project requirements.
