It was an ordeal but got there in the end !
I am giving this product 3 stars because of the ordeal we went through. I believe this rating is fair: the seller ultimately did what they needed to do, but the process took a long time—largely due to issues outside of their direct control. I ordered this pergola on April 11, 2026. The product ships in six very heavy boxes, and the seller was upfront in explaining that they would arrive in two separate shipments. All boxes shipped the same day via FedEx. The first four boxes arrived on April 15, followed by the remaining two on April 16. None of the boxes showed any external damage. I am very meticulous and wanted to understand everything in advance to ensure proper assembly. The documentation is generally good, although some of the drawings could be clearer. Because we didn’t want to crowd our garage or patio, we stored some boxes in our living room and others in the lounge. We protected the floors with towels to avoid damage to the parts while unpacking them. According to the instructions, the gazebo requires 3 + 2 people and takes 2.5 hours to assemble. This estimate is highly optimistic unless you have a crew that has assembled this exact model before. There are hundreds of parts, including 70 roof components and their respective 140 side pieces. One person can handle the preliminary assemblies (before raising the posts), but it takes a significant amount of time. To raise the posts and connect the beams, you need at least three people, preferably four. While assembling the four posts, I immediately noticed that two were damaged, one of them severely, which raised concerns about factory quality control. As we continued unpacking, we discovered several additional damaged parts. I first contacted the email address listed in the documentation (presumably the U.S. distributor). After not receiving a response overnight, I contacted the seller through Amazon on April 21. The following day, I received responses from both parties. Each offered to replace the damaged parts immediately. Since both were aware of the parallel communication, I chose to continue exclusively through Amazon, which I strongly recommend. The initial response from the seller was: “We are willing to resend boxes A, B, and D, and you return the original boxes A, B, and D. Is it ok? Could you please send pictures of the outer box?” I replied that I could send photos but was unsure how to repack the boxes and asked who would cover return shipping. The seller shipped the replacement boxes on April 22 and never followed up about returning the originals. The three replacement boxes arrived in good condition—two on April 26 and one on April 27. Unfortunately, several parts were also damaged. Fortunately, these were different from the original damaged pieces, which allowed us to raise the pergola and assemble half of the roof. We could not complete the second half of the roof because one small plastic peg (mounted on a rack used to open and close the roof) was defective (see photos). I reported this issue on April 29. To make a long story short, the seller did not have a replacement peg and ended up shipping yet another full box. By then, the faulty parts and boxes were cluttering our house, so I started discarding them. The final box arrived on May 9, and we were able to complete the assembly the same day. After 10 boxes and 11 damaged parts (posts, beams, and roof components), I am pleased to say that the pergola meets our expectations now that it is installed. However, the assembly process stretched over nearly a month, and disposing of so many damaged parts is not environmentally friendly. I genuinely feel sorry for the seller, as the root cause appears to be poor quality control at the factory in China. That said, the responsibility ultimately lies with the seller, and to their credit, they stood behind the product and responded appropriately.

I Rarely Leave Negative Reviews, But This Was Disappointing by BBC
I normally do not like writing negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience. Multiple metal components arrived bent, even though the shipping boxes appeared to be in good condition. Several parts were damaged to the point that screws would not line up or install properly, making assembly extremely difficult. What is most frustrating is that after spending hours unpacking and organizing all the parts, I am now considering a return and may have to somehow fit everything back into the original boxes. This is a large and expensive item, and I expected better quality control and packaging. Perhaps I was just unlucky, but so far my experience has been very disappointing.

Terrible customer service Back louvre section won’t stay closed Company won’t respond to help After many tries they finally responded and solved my problem. Do not use the email they will respond one time then never respond again. You have to use the Amazon app to send messages back and forth.
