If you want to cover a space that is exactly 10" wide and 8" deep (the tallest posts 10" apart and the short posts 10" apart), this is NOT the gazebo you’re looking for. The diagram in the image carousel has those measurements swapped. Otherwise, the instructions are detailed and easy to follow, it is ideally a two-person job, and MUST be fastened to a wall. So far we love this addition to our back porch. We did have a piece missing when it arrived but my husband had 2 of another piece and improvised. We’ve had rain and 50+mph winds so far and it’s held up. My husband did screw it into our house to help with the support. I’d like to know if I needed them can I get replacement pieces? ... show more

Update: I bought two more in other sizes for front and back porch. One was just as amazing and one was terrible. The terrible one had very flimsy hardware and a lot was bent. The design was much worse. The size didn't match the description in the listing by about a foot. This was important as I was putting it around a window and door combination. They must use multiple suppliers. I would give 5 stars if I could be sure of which design I would receive. When I was looking at it online, I had serious doubts as to its sturdiness. But I figured for $300, I'd try it before moving on to the $1500 options. It has surpassed my expectations. It is made from a nice thick steel that is doubly and triply reinforced at all joints. It does need to be anchored to the ground and the wall for structural support. You cannot use it freestanding. I placed it on the gable end of my house over some gravely dirt to make a little woodworking shop. I put in some 8 inch all terrain ground stakes, the ones you drive in with a T40 drill bit. Then I used some 5 in structural screws to go through a piece of pre-drilled blocking I added. This keeps a nice 1.5 inches from the my wood siding. It comes with beefy concrete anchors for both ground and wall, which I plan to use for a different project. I didn't have any concrete pad on the side where I wanted to install it. Keep in mind that I live in a very mild part of the Pacific Northwest that gets almost no wind and only a couple of inches of snow a year. I'm very happy I didn't have to pay for something over-engineered for my needs. This is adequate for mild weather year round, but cannot stand high winds or heavy snow loads.
