It was supposed to be new. It was missing screws. Also in my search I asked for a table that I could place an umbrella in the center. There was no hole for an umbrella which was disapointing. It looked like it was a returned item, as all the screws were mixed up and thrown in a baggie. I ordered it new. Other than that it's decent and the chairs are nice so I won't be returning it however in the future it would be nice tonget what I'm asking for. That is why I put specifics in my search.

The table is nice but the chairs are much, much smaller than advertised. The seat itself is 17 inches, with the leg measurement at 22 inches rather than almost 24 as advertised. The set looks nice, but as someone who is six foot tall and 220 lbs, this is not a good fit.

chairs are comfortable and sturdy. I payed for a table and four chairs. I only go two chairs and a table. I guess you don't always get what you pay for. Finally got the rest of the order. Box was damaged.
