Very surprised in the quality of this. Took me about 8 hours to build. Directions aren't bad but really make sure you are paying attention especially the L brackets on the ceiling runs. Easy to do that step wrong and have to backtrack. This thing is very sturdy. You need to anchor it into the ground as well as anchor it into your house. I added some extra support brackets from my old gazebo just for piece of mind but I can literally do pull ups on this thing. Also I really like how the polycarbonate ceiling panels are just rectangle shapes. It would be pretty easy to get replacements. I do doubt though that this thing will handle any snow but removing ceiling panels is so easy I'll just take them out before winter. Only bad thing I had is one of the pillars had a dent in it from shipping but cmon with the price of this what do you expect? I knew what I was getting. Don't listen to the bad reviews saying it's wobbly, they had me nervous but if you just do it right and properly secure it like any structure then this thing is solid. If it's wobbly or seems unstable then you aren't doing something right. My only real complaint is rain drainage is not great, I'm going to put a gutter on the end because it's like a waterfall when it really rains. I had no leaks in between the panels. I think other people had that issue because it is honestly tricky to get them in to the grooves tight. Just gotta take your time and make sure everything is flush.

I received this today, a day earlier than expected. I bought the 8x5 as that's all I needed. It's completely straightforward to build. Took about 4 hours, including a 45 minute trip to Home Depot to buy some anchors that suited my situation better than the concrete anchors supplied. The instructions are perfectly clear, just pay attention to the pictures and get everything in the correct orientation. Any time there's something to watch out for, it's noted explicitly in the text. I made one mistake with a bottom mounting plate that took 90 seconds to fix - undid two bolts, flipped it, did them up. Anyone who says that the instructions are bad, has never made flat pack furniture. As long as you follow the instructions, then the roof panels slot right in. Then the end caps push them to the correct location. Overall, quite nicely engineered. As usual, I was noting areas that could be improved - and in complete honesty, there's nothing really in the design that could be improved without actually making it more complicated. The materials themselves could be thicker, but they're fine and fit for purpose. Once bolted to the house and the floor, it's completely stable. It could be built by one person - and for the most part I did, except for putting up the main beams and the first roof support, where I had my wife help hold it up for a minute. I think the same would go for the larger sizes; a helping hand is useful in a couple of areas, but could probably be worked around. Tools - a level is useful when bolting it down. I used a drill driver in a few places (putting the beams together) for speed, but it's not necessary (unless you need to drill anchor holes). I have a couple of small dings in a couple of the beams, and a 1/2" scratch on one of the room beams. Invisible unless you specifically look for them. Note - make it in the shade. I would occasionally pick up pieces that had been in the sun for an hour and they were HOT. Overall, recommended, especially for the price.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I had to do some adjustments to secure properly to wall and floor. You do need at least three people to properly move once assembled. Good quality and strong built. Added solar patio lights and it looks great!

No missing parts. Nothing damaged. Boxes were extremely heavy. Everything was machined correctly. The instructions were not as good as I hope for but better than most I’ve encountered for this type of project. Once together, it feels quite sturdy and looks nice. This was quite large and we got it done with two old fellas with bad backs and knees. It took about 12 hours over 3 days. I believe if we were in better shape or had a third set of hands it could’ve been done in 8 hours. Some of the bolts have a hex head (hex keys are included) and some have a Phillips. Trying to put the whole thing together with a manual hex key will take forever. I strongly suggest getting a set of hex bits you can put on your drill. Also, the top bolts on the ribs that hold the roof panels are really hard to get to. You will save a lot of pain by getting a flexible shaft bit extension. A 90° driver extension won’t fit but a flexible extension will. When you slide the panels up, they’ll stick at the very top. You’ll need to stand on a ladder and use your fingertips to guide them into the bracket while someone pushes gently from below. My last bit of advice is to make sure it is plumb and level before you get too far along on the roof. This is a complex build but not terribly hard because it’s machined correctly. I feel it is a good value for the money.

Buyer beware! There is a reason this is inexpensive compared to similar products. It's NOT easy to assemble, the durability is HORRIBLE. The quality is SHODDY, and it lacks total stability. Many parts are bent and the instructions are VERY HARD TO FOLLOW, as they lack completeness. You can only return it if you pay for shipping, whick is more than the price of the product.

Arrived early with no big damage which was nice, but none of the perks in the pictures for this are true. Water runs off the edge like a canopy, drips everywhere but every once in a while a big stream will run off so I hope I don't pick a bad time to walk under it or I'll get soaked. The quality of the paint seems ok but there are some issues here and there with some abrasion marks in packaging and there are some places with bare metal edges that will rust soon. The metal doesn't seem very thick either so I hope nothing happens because any damage will be too much to fix. The package containing all the hardware screws was entirely sticky, like the screws were glued to the vacuum wrap packaging and ripped off paper with the screws. There are no decorative braces going from the front legs to the back in the corners, so if you can't secure the back legs to a structure, the structure will be a lot more wobbly than you'd think, is very wobbly to me. It looks nice and modern, but I hope its durability will hold up, definitely bought the protection package.
