  • Great gazebo and worth the buy, installation is TOUGH!
4.5/5 stars is my true rating. Want an honest review, read through all of this. Truly this gazebo is great!! Follow the instructions exactly or else you will mess something up. I am not trying to be harsh, but I think the 3-4 hour installation that they say is not a fair estimate, it is a bit misleading. It took 2 different installation sessions, each 5-7 hours each, with 2 people each time. Literally this thing takes a LONG time. If you think you will get it done in a few hours, think again. BUT IT IS WORTH IT! 100%! It is sturdy, beautiful, provides great shade and truly enhances our space where we put it. It is heavy and quality and fits our space great. We don't intend on hanging up the netting piece, I was able to use those hooks to hang up my lights instead of having to put my own hooks up. Nice little hack to enhance the gazebo a little more and make it a vibe at night. Two negatives: -Some of the holes don't line up on the roof. There were lots of cases where I had to feed the screw into the top roof piece, feed it into the second roof piece and then at an angle feed the screw into the plastic anchor piece and essentially forcing it to work. - The velcro netting at the top to keep out bugs is pretty much pointless, once you get it all up there, attached and screwed in, nothing is flush so bugs will easily get through. Here are a few tips when installing: - DO NOT TIGHTEN all of the screws like the instructions say, wait until the very end. - Use 2 ladders and 2 people, 3 people would be nice. - Set aside 1-2 hours and sort everything out and organize it before you ever start to build it. - When assembling all the roof pieces, separate them all and lay them all out on the ground before putting them up. WAY easier doing this so when you assemble you can grab and go. - Use 2 different drills with the allen wrench/hex wrench, one big and one small. -There are lots of extra pieces that they provide, don't worry if you find yourself not using everything. ... show more

  • Good durable gazebo for a good price
Size: 12' x 12' Color: Gray
Assembly wasn't bad. Pictures were actually helpful in the manual showing details. Avoid the black top if you live in a hot area. It's much sturdier than expected. It felt flimsy during the assembly but once it's put together it's very durable feeling. I did have to get the large tent stakes to hold it down since the ones that came with it were only about 4 inches long. It does come with concrete anchors though. The netting and curtains feel very thick and should last a few seasons. The roof slats are tricky to get into their correct positions and there's a bit of a learning curve with the first few. We had a small wind storm the other day and it faired well. It didn't vibrate the ceiling panels and the entire structure handled it well. The amount of shade it provides is ample. All parts were present and even came with a package of extras. 2 of the three boxes were slightly damaged upon arrival, but it was packed well inside and the parts were undamaged. It took me and a buddy about 3 hours on three separate days to assemble for a total time of about 9 hours. We used a screw gun and 2 step stools was all we needed. Make sure you have a screw gun or it will take much longer to assemble. We're very pleased with it so far. ... show more

  • A great Gazebo but it requires work to get it together
Size: 12' x 16' Color: Gray
I will preface with: all of the boxes arrived (5) together and all of the parts & hardware were accounted for. Also, make sure you have a drill driver with the proper hex bit as it will save you loads of time, set it at a low setting so you don't strip the screws when they stop going in. When I opened and started inspecting all of the parts, they looked good, a couple minor dents (it is all metal, heavy and gets banged around in shipping so this was not completely unexpected) and it seemed a bit flimsy but understand, when it is all together, it supports itself very well. You might be able to do this on your own but I got the 12x16 and I needed some assistance in certain areas. Connecting the cross beams to the posts is one of these areas because there is either a 12' or 16' foot gap between posts. My wife held the posts and beams in place while I quickly attached them. After that, I needed help getting the initial roof piece and cross beams attached. I put them together on the ground and we lifted them up into place together. I was able to screw them into place after then was able to attach the rest of the roof beams myself. This took around about 2 hours. Now we moved onto the roof and this is where the "fun" begins, you really need at least 2 people for this part (I tried doing it myself but it was not happening). First off, you need to make sure the roof panels are going to correct way (compare the screw hole placement to the pictures in the manual), have one person hold them in place from the bottom while you put the spacer and screw in place. Once the first 2 panels on each side are in place, the rest go in a lot easier. Something I found while watching videos on installing this type of roof, don't fully tighten the screws down until everything is in place, this allows a little give just in case. This part took around 3 hours. Next was to put the "trim" around the edges of the bottom part of the roof and connect them all together. This was probably the easiest part of the build as these pieces just popped right into place then screw them all together. This part took around 30 minutes. All that was left was to attach the solid curtains & screens then you are all set (don't forget to anchor it down too). Overall it was a project which I completed over a 2 week time frame (we got a week of rain). It looks great, very spacious and cozy (we have good patio set and a gas fire pit under it). I am giving it 4 stars because the instruction manual is not the greatest, it is all pictures and it should have some descriptions on some of the pages where the pictures don't make complete sense. We figured it out but it took some trial and error. ... show more

  • Well thought out
So, we finally have it all put together, this is a well-built Gazebo. We were impressed that the item showed up in perfect condition, all items inside the 3 boxes were nicely pack and wrapped no scratches on any of the parts. The directions were easy to follow, but if you are not good at building things then suggest finding someone who is and follow the directions and no short cuts. Though everything was well thought out it does take some time putting together. Don’t be in a hurry and make sure the gazebo is square before placing the roof panels. All in all we are very happy with the product and it looks great in our backyard, worth the purchase ... show more
