  • Awesome gazebo…once assembled!
Size: 10' x 12' Color: Grey Horizontal
Wow this thing is a pain to assemble, but it is worth it! Beautiful & very well constructed, down to the packaging which is excellent (it takes almost half an hour just to unbox and lay everything out). The first 75% of the assembly is pretty straight forward and easy - doable with one person but definitely helps to have two, especially if you both have drills and a ladder. As many others have mentioned, the roof panels are a royal pain. You’ll see in the instructions, but there are ‘R’ pieces and ‘Q’ pieces which must be overlapped and slid in together as one piece. However, there is no way from the manufacturer to secure the pieces together. My wife & I ended up using command Velcro strips to attach them together and reading through the comments, others used double sided tape or even duct tape. Warning to all - figure this piece out before you attempt! If not you’ll drive yourself insane - strong double sided tape would be the best option IMO. When it comes to sliding in the panels, I suppose it’s possible to do it yourself but it is 10x more efficient with two people. You need one person to slide and the other to guide and push up on the panel from inside the structure on a ladder. If not, it’s really hard to get the piece to snap into place. Also note that once you get the panels in, the instructions vaguely mention snapping in a V piece but doesn’t explain it well. There is a baggie of little plastic V’s that you can pop in between the panels and bars to secure them until you’re ready to put on the final frames. The curtain / mosquito net is also not the most intuitive to figure out, I recommend keeping them zipped together and not detaching them like I did…caused me another half hour of mental Tetris to get them correct. You probably couldn’t pay me to assemble this again but I’m glad I did, it really does look great. For those who are saying it leaks, it doesn’t as long as you do it right. My assumption is you installed the panels upside down and the water is flowing towards you. You can fix it but you’ll have to take all of the panels off and reinstall. Definitely a great deal and a great addition for a backyard - just exercise patience and pay attention when you’re assembling…good luck! ... show more

  • 100% awesome gazebo!!
I was worried about the reviews about being hard to assemble, but it wasn’t as bad as i figured it would. I was able to do it by myself with the only exception being lifting the roof frame up( had my wife help) other than that it went pretty smooth. The instructions were easy to read and understand. Everything was labeled correctly. It has plenty of extra pieces which is nice. Definitely should tape the plastic brackets for ceiling panels as they will fall off easy. My only problem with this gazebo is most of the roof preset holes for mounting bolts is plastic and easily stripped out if you are not careful. I can’t stress enough that you have to be REALLY careful when tightening them!! Some of them on the frame is metal threads, just think they all should have been that way. Haven’t noticed any rain leaks as of yet. Overall this is a very nice gazebo that is very sturdy and looks very nice!! I bought a second ceiling fan for it and it fits in there perfectly!! They are side by side and the LED lights are BRIGHT!! One fan will more than give you all the light you need. I recommend putting 2 in there like i did. The 2 screw in mounting hooks that hold the cap on are in the perfect spot to mount the ceiling fans if u choose to go with 2 as i did. If you are looking for a hardtop gazebo, this is the one you want!! ... show more

  • A great Gazebo but it requires work to get it together
Size: 12' x 16' Color: Gray
I will preface with: all of the boxes arrived (5) together and all of the parts & hardware were accounted for. Also, make sure you have a drill driver with the proper hex bit as it will save you loads of time, set it at a low setting so you don't strip the screws when they stop going in. When I opened and started inspecting all of the parts, they looked good, a couple minor dents (it is all metal, heavy and gets banged around in shipping so this was not completely unexpected) and it seemed a bit flimsy but understand, when it is all together, it supports itself very well. You might be able to do this on your own but I got the 12x16 and I needed some assistance in certain areas. Connecting the cross beams to the posts is one of these areas because there is either a 12' or 16' foot gap between posts. My wife held the posts and beams in place while I quickly attached them. After that, I needed help getting the initial roof piece and cross beams attached. I put them together on the ground and we lifted them up into place together. I was able to screw them into place after then was able to attach the rest of the roof beams myself. This took around about 2 hours. Now we moved onto the roof and this is where the "fun" begins, you really need at least 2 people for this part (I tried doing it myself but it was not happening). First off, you need to make sure the roof panels are going to correct way (compare the screw hole placement to the pictures in the manual), have one person hold them in place from the bottom while you put the spacer and screw in place. Once the first 2 panels on each side are in place, the rest go in a lot easier. Something I found while watching videos on installing this type of roof, don't fully tighten the screws down until everything is in place, this allows a little give just in case. This part took around 3 hours. Next was to put the "trim" around the edges of the bottom part of the roof and connect them all together. This was probably the easiest part of the build as these pieces just popped right into place then screw them all together. This part took around 30 minutes. All that was left was to attach the solid curtains & screens then you are all set (don't forget to anchor it down too). Overall it was a project which I completed over a 2 week time frame (we got a week of rain). It looks great, very spacious and cozy (we have good patio set and a gas fire pit under it). I am giving it 4 stars because the instruction manual is not the greatest, it is all pictures and it should have some descriptions on some of the pages where the pictures don't make complete sense. We figured it out but it took some trial and error. ... show more
