I went looking for a basic thermostat when my Honeywell 5000-series thermostat started acting wonky. I wanted a replacement with a larger viewing window, non-programmable, easy to install, and easy to use. I also wanted one that didn't force me to break open the piggy-bank. This model checked all the boxes for me. Installation was easy peasy, especially since the horizontal mounting holes lined up exactly like my Honeywell; I didn't even have to use the other two (vertical) mounts. An east-to-follow wiring diagram was included with the unit. I had it installed and working in under 15 minutes. All the controls worked well, and I did not need to make any changes to the default settings. Works just fine. The larger viewing window is easy on the eyes, and the reasonable price made this an even sweeter deal. I recommend.

Simple, easy and to the point. We needed to replace the existing thermostat but wanted something simple without all bells and whistles. Found this had a humidity sensor as well for same amount as the another brand without this option that I was comparing it to and thought that was a plus. Install was easy. It came with stickers for labeling the line. We only had 2 lines to mark and connect. Attached the base plate, added 2 AAA batteries and it was done. The digits are big and clear which is nice. We also have a humidity and temperature reader which I placed next to it to see if it matched. It took about 30 mins to acclimate and it read the same both in temperature and humidity. Very happy so far. 😊 Programming can be too much, so this non-programmable thermostat is worth it.

This is a simple thermostat that was easy to install. My old thermostat didn't have the red wire from terminal RH to RC so I checked on youtube to see if I needed to leave that in or not. Once I figured out that I did, both the heater and the AC worked perfectly. This does not have lots of bells and whistles, it is pretty basic but the price was reasonable and it was all that I really needed.

My old thermostat was over 15 years old when it failed last night (19 degrees). I tested it and verified it was non-working. I jumped on Amazon and ordered this "Aowel Non-Programmable Thermostat for Home 1 Heat/ 1 Cool, with Room Temperature & Humidity Monitor, 5.0 sq. in LCD Blue Backlit Screen" with next day delivery. It arrived today around 4:30. I opened the package and skimmed over the easy to read and understand instructions. It had nice big clear pictures of just about every possible HVAC combination and how to wire it for that choice. I saw mine and in less than 15 minutes I had it installed and up and running. Nice big blue screen and easy to see controls. Love the almost instant delivery and the fact that I didn't have to get out in the cold and go down to some big box store and pay twice the price.

I had no idea what i was doing tbh but didnt want to wait on a repairman and pay $$$ and freeze at night. I run it off batteries and it works great came with great instructions and love the big font which is mostly why i got it. Its simple to use and great for ppl who dont care about all that wifi and alexa stuff. I also took a pic of old wiring and watched a YouTube video. Mine was easy just typical 4 wires for my heat pump/ac. Makes it a whole lot easier if u just read the instructions. seems pretty accurate too.

Worked for a month and then keeps shutting off every 3 mins and won't come back on unless you manually turn off and back on and then it runs for about 3 mins and shuts off again :(
