🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

This budget electric scooter has garnered mixed feedback focusing primarily on its usage and performance. Many users were impressed with its easy assembly, quick charging time, and customizable settings through the app, highlighting its suitability for short commutes and fun rides. However, challenges were noted regarding its accuracy in speed and mileage tracking, with discrepancies identified through personal testing. Additionally, there were reports of durability concerns, particularly for heavier users, and limitations in speed and incline performance as opposed to advertised capabilities.

Pros

  • 🔧 Easy to assemble and customize settings via an app
  • ⚡ Quick charging time and decent battery life
  • 🚀 Customizable speed settings, reaching up to 19 mph in sport mode
  • đź’ˇ Includes a built-in Bluetooth and indicators for battery and charging status

Cons

  • 🔍 Inaccurate tracking of speed and mileage by the app
  • ⚖️ Performance issues on inclines and for users over 200 pounds
  • đź›  Some durability concerns reported, including a breakage incident
  • 🛣 Not ideal for rough terrains like semi gravel or dirt roads

Should I Buy It?

Considering the affordable price point, this scooter is a good buy for casual users seeking a convenient and fun mode of transportation for short distances. It offers respectable speed and battery life for its cost, though potential buyers should be aware of its limitations, particularly regarding terrain and user weight. If accuracy in mileage and speed isn’t critical and the usage aligns with its capabilities, it presents a worthy option. Heavier users or those needing a more robust performance, especially on inclines, might look at alternatives.

  • Great Budget Electric scooter!
Color: ES80
Got this yesterday and put it together in no time. It had 81% battery life on the battery out the box and it took about an hour and a half to charge it to 100%. The charger it comes with will show a red light while charging and a green light when fully charged so you know when to unhook it. I linked the app super easy with its built in Bluetooth on the scooter. I set my settings the way I wanted them and custom set the speed to its max in sport mode to 19 mph. The power motor output and brake I have both set at 5 each. They can both go up to 10 each in custom settings. I weigh 220 pounds with heavy work boots, clothes and my winter thick jacket and cell phone all on me as I weighed myself before taking it out. I tested it at night 49 degrees out here in Montana last night. I ran the lights the whole time and rode it around my small town back and forth all over the place on the roads, the sidewalks till it’s battery almost died which was on purpose for the test. It started to reduce speed itself blinking red on its lcd display right before I got home. It would’ve went over 15 miles easy had I kept riding it but I didn’t want to have to walk it back in pitch dark. But it was going like 9 mph blinking red by the time I was at my door but the lights were still on just fine at that point too. It got me 13.9 miles before I turned it off and charged it last night and it took 5 and half hours to fully charge it. Next test is a day ride in warmer temps above 49 degrees in the sun and same settings but no lights being used and see how far I get again. I’ll update this again then. So far it did good and not too bumpy but hates semi gravel and dirt combined roads. It’s made for streets and sidewalks preferably. It hates climbing any incline so that 30% claim they say it will climb won’t work well at all for any weight above 200 pounds and me being at 220 total pounds last night It got half way up maybe a 40% incline and I had to walk it the rest of the way up. So I advise walk it up steep or semi steep inclines. That 350 watt motor is too weak at climbing anything when you weigh over 200 pounds on it. But overall it’s worth the money. It says the battery will last for about 500 charges. You do the math and if you’re a big guy over 200 pounds on it and getting around 15 miles total range at a max 19 mph settings in sports mode as it has 3 modes. Like 9 mph eco long range mode that I bet is the mode that would get you that 25 miles claim at lower weight. Then a normal mode at about 12 mph and sport mode at 15 mph but it can be customized in sport mode to be raised up to 19 mph with the app. That’s what I did so that of course with weight over 200 pounds used more energy so it’s getting on average around a 13 to 15 mile range with me so far at 19 mph settings. I have further testing to do but so far I love this thing. If it’s claim in the manual that says it will last 500 full charges then that means I’ll get around 7,500 miles at 19 mph out the battery before the battery says bye bye lol. Not bad for costing under 400 bucks. In a car you’ll spend over $400 easy in gas at 7,500 miles driven. So far I highly recommend it. A great cheap costing budget scooter that is built really well. If you want more power and range you’ll have to spend more money on a different scooter with a bigger battery and a higher watt motor. But this one works well for its cost. UPDATE.. Oct 7th 2022 - Just did my second test during the day and no lights on of course. Very mad at this company now and may return before my 30 days is up on Amazon to return it. They lie on their app with their mile counter. I just had a odd feeling something was off last night riding it around and it saying I went 13.9 miles and my town is very small like less than 2 miles across one way. I didn’t make that many rounds around my neighborhood and it said so went that many miles??? No… I drove my car around the same paths I took the scooter last night and my figures on the miles road by my car was way different and 5 miles less than the app said of the scooter. Today I used my walking app that tells me how many miles I have walked and it said today when the battery started blinking red the app said I traveled 13.5 miles and the walk app said I went 9.32 miles at 19 mph constant speed the whole time and my total weight is 220 pounds on it on sport mode. Their app mile tracker counts up miles rode way faster than it should. So it gives you false miles actually rode on it. Very cheesy move to do to us as a company. I caught your app red handed making it seem we are going further than we actually are in a full battery charge. So in sport mode at 220 or more pounds at 19 mph it will only get a range of around 9 to 9 and a half miles tops. 3rd Update Oct 10th 2022 - Just found out they also lie about the total top speed. As others in the reviews on this pointed out and I thought they were just lying to make this product look bad well, they were spot on right. I used my mph app also while riding the scooter and top speed it says 19 mph and it actually is only doing 16 mph. Then I put it on Slow mode which is suppose to be 15 mph and it said it was going 9 mph. So Eco mode must be 4 to 5 mph but it says you’re going 9 mph on the display on eco mode they are such liars. You guys lie about range and its speed. But it is a good scooter and well built. Just stop lying about top speed and range. You are way off on those figures. No matter what setting I set it too or what roads I ride it on or inclines I climb it always gets a range of 9 to 11 miles tops. No less or no more every time and I’ve rode it a total 5 times now 5 full charges. I like it don’t get me wrong but I’m also mad I paid $360 for it here on Amazon and it’s $299.99 on their website. Way to rip us off Amazon! It’s worth $300 bucks easy even when it goes 9 miles on range and only a top speed of 16 mph but it’s not worth over $300. Tell the truth guys on range and speed and you’ll do better with getting more purchases by telling the truth. Lower that price to $300 too and I’ll buy another one. Even with the lies I love the scooter so far. I ride it near daily now. ... show more

I'm a carhauler and most yards we load out of doesn't allow scooters but there is one that does because the distance you have to walk to get a vehicle is to far to walk back and forth 8 or 9 times. So I noticed a few guys had scooters and decided I wanted one so I started looking at theirs a little more and also doing research. I didn't wanna get a two hundred dollar scooter which seemed like that's what most of them had. I noticed they didn't go very fast and seemed to have trouble going up the hill. I wanted something that offered a lot more. Well after reading and reading and looking on YouTube I narrowed it down to the Aovopro es max. I am so glad I chose this one. This thing is nothing short of amazing. The build quality is extremely solid, the 10inch run flats are a nice touch coupled with a 500 watt motor. It's surprisingly quick. The 21 mph speed is perfect. For the price that's listed on Amazon along with the 100.00 off coupon makes this a steal. It seems as though many people are having issues with the less expensive option (light black) with the advertised 300 watt motor so I didn't wanna mess with that. Do yourself a favor and get the black model. I've already added some accessories and am looking into purchasing another one in the 2K range. I'm definitely hooked. This thing is so fun but about to be an expensive hobby. I'm just sorry I didn't get into it sooner. Stop procrastinating and get this one, you're gonna love it. ... show more

  • Defective product with no support

We purchased item in February and it is now April. Our son was riding on this every day to and from school. He was riding on the sidewalk when the scooter snapped in half below the welding point. He could have been seriously injured. We reached out to Amazon who directed us to the company Aovopro. I reached out via email as they do not have a phone number listed and was told to contact Amazon. We have only had it 2 months! It’s faulty and poor quality and we are lucky this didn’t happen on a busy street! Our son was able to stop from falling and catch himself otherwise this would have been a visit to the hospital. I included pictures to prove in no way could we have done this. I’m unbelievably dissatisfied and disappointed that no one will acknowledge the issue. ... show more

The scooter is a great addition for quick transportation and lots of fun. Only flaw I would say is the settings on the scooter. 25km equals about 15mph so the scooter really ranges from 15-20mph. Also a flaw I’ve noticed after a year of having the product - Sometimes to scooter randomly starts to just go at 12km and you have no idea why and you might think it’s broken but in reality you just need to go into the app and change the settings around to make sure your scooter is properly working to your liking. It can be put into slow mode for children as well. Very great product to purchase. 10/10 recommend ... show more
