The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the AOSU outdoor solar cam primarily to monitor my dogs when they’re outside, and I have to say—it’s exceeded all my expectations. From the start, the setup was straightforward, and once it was up and running, I immediately noticed how clear the images and videos are. Whether it’s during the day or at night, the picture quality is sharp, and I can easily see everything happening in real-time without any lag or blurriness. It really gives me peace of mind knowing I can check in on my dogs at any moment and get a crystal-clear view. One of my absolute favorite features is the camera’s ability to automatically track movement. If a person walks by, the camera smoothly follows them, capturing everything. What’s even more impressive is that after it finishes tracking, it intelligently returns to its original position without needing me to adjust anything. It’s a small detail, but it shows how well-designed and intuitive the system is. Another huge bonus is the solar charging. Living in sunny San Diego, I haven’t had to worry about recharging or changing batteries at all. The solar panel keeps the camera powered continuously, so I get uninterrupted monitoring 24/7 without having to lift a finger. It’s not only convenient, but also eco-friendly—definitely a game-changer if you want something low-maintenance. Lastly, I have to highlight the customer support. When I reached out with a question about optimizing the camera’s settings, they responded quickly and were incredibly helpful and polite. It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their product like that, and it made me feel even more confident in my purchase. This camera was easy to setup through the Aosu app, and relatively easy to install under a soffit. The motion detection works well and the camera follows the source. The app has nice functionality and is relatively intuitive to navigate. The video quality is excellent and I like that you can use an SD card and edit the SD card from the app. I was a little hesitant about the solar panel keeping the battery adequately charged since it isn't placed so that it gets full sun. But even with about 4 hours direct sunlight during the day, it has kept the battery charged. I had an issue with the camera's PTZ that required me to periodically manually reposition it - something that should not occur. Customer service was responsive - actually responded to me outside of normal working hours - and attempted to walk me through a workaround. Although I think the camera is usable with the caveat that I may have to periodically intervene, the company is sending me a new camera - which I think is the right outcome. ... show more

Just finished installing the SolarCam D1 SE. What a great addition to my existing Aosu security camera system. The setup is very smooth and easy, Aosu app identifies the camera quickly and joining the wi-fi network is also effortless. I use a wi-fi mesh network and the camera is located about 25 to 30 feet from one of my nodes and the wi-fi signal strength is at 100% which is the best I've seen yet and allows for excellent operation. Was able to neatly tuck the cable for the solar panel into the channel for the soffit panels. The UHD video is great and very clear. Tried to include in photos. The PTZ is a must with a great range of motion and ability to track also, with many other parameters to individualize your set up in the settings. I have owned several security cam systems through the years and Aosu so far is the best I've seen for the price! As previously stated, a great addition to my existing set up of the four solar cameras with home base and a doorbell cam and also two indoor cameras. Definitely would recommend this product to anyone considering a security camera system for the price and the quality it can't be beat. ... show more

Got to be completely honest. Better video than ring outdoor. Also 360° ability to move. I have somewhat decent internet. However, I feel this may be why I'm having issues I am. Unfortunately ring, nest, all the main brands have the app that just makes it better. This app is decent. I've had issues with the 360 panorama, of also do not like the fact you cannot disable the spotlight, even if the camera is off, it's still recognizes motion. This could be my stupidity, but I've searched the app many times. Unbelievable solar power. Summertime and never drops below 80%. Winter time still works fine but the battery gets low... Never had to unplug it and charge it with the cord. Great product overall. Could really use some app fine tuning. No subscription required. Has an SD card in it. Love that over ring! ... show more
