I wanted to wait until I had used this end mill for a year or so. (I reviewed my backup purchase as they are the same). But this is one of the sharpest and long lasting end mills I currently own. I have the equivalent Amana end mill with the Spectra X coating and this is just as sharp, just as tough, and long lasting. I bought a second one ( as a backup, I am an amateur after all ) in case I messed up, or used up, the first one. It is still sitting in its case waiting for the first one to fail or break. Good end mill and has roughed out and flattened many a board over the last year. I would highly recommend this quality end mill to anyone working on wood. Cut through Cherry and Hard Maple like butter :)

I've had this end mill for about a week now and cut several items out of baltic birch. I haven't cut any hardwoods yet, but the surface finish this leaves has been great. Using this on my Shapeoko CNC router with a Makita router. No complaints. Love the 1" flute length. Lets me make a final smoothing pass at full depth on thicker stock.

I do CNC Routing, most times in Bitch or Maple plywood, generally it is very hard to keep the edges crisp. Welcome Align Carbide, Down Cut Router Bit it worked perfectly, for the first time I had to do very minimal sanding, saved me a ton of time.

Thousands of linear feet of cutting later this cutter hasn't lost it's "like new" surface finish yet (primarily cutting MDF/Aspen) this is a product I could recommend to someone else.
