Great first AI 3D printer for kids – fun and easy! We bought the X-MAKER JOY AI (Model V4.0) for our 8-year-old and it’s been a hit from day one. The compact white design looks modern and kid-friendly, and it doesn’t take up much space on a desk or table. The AI features make it really simple to use. Our child was able to start printing with minimal help thanks to the guided setup and app. Print quality is solid for a beginner machine – small models come out clean and detailed. It’s quiet enough to run in a shared room without being annoying. A big plus is the included filament set (PLA 1.75 mm). We got orange, white, rainbow, and a couple of other colors right in the box, so we could start creating immediately without buying extra materials. The filament prints reliably in the 190–210 °C range. Overall, it’s a safe, approachable, and fun introduction to 3D printing for kids. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a beginner-friendly AI 3D printer with everything needed to get started!

I’m really impressed with this little 3D printer. The setup was very easy, and I especially like that it doesn’t require complicated manual leveling. The enclosed design also makes it feel much safer and cleaner to use around the house. I printed a custom “Uber” sign as my first project, and the results came out surprisingly good. The letters were clear and the overall print quality was much better than I expected from such a compact printer. It’s also fun being able to experiment with different filament colors. The WiFi/app control is another nice feature because I can start and monitor prints without constantly standing next to the printer. The compact size is perfect for a desk or home workspace. Overall, this is a very beginner-friendly 3D printer and a great way to get kids interested in 3D printing and STEM projects.

I originally bought this as a fun little 3D printer for the kids, but if I’m being honest, I’ve probably used it more than they have. It was easy to get set up, and it’s been surprisingly reliable for a small beginner printer. We’ve printed toys, little organizers, card stands, and all kinds of random things around the house. It’s a great way to introduce kids to 3D printing, but don’t be surprised if you end up finding excuses to use it yourself. Definitely a fun purchase.

My son really loves this 3D printer and is kind of obsessed with it. He has already made a bunch of different toys and it’s been really fun watching him create things. It came with more than enough supplies to get started and the replacement filaments look pretty affordable on Amazon. I also really like the built in camera, which lets you watch the printer live and even download the full video to share online. It’s definitely a lot of fun and in my opinion, worth spending the money on, especially for kids who love making and building things.
