Easy to use and a good starter 3D printer

It was much easier to get started than I expected. Most of the controls are right on the iPad, so my kid can pick a model, adjust the settings, and start a print without needing much help. The connection has been stable so far and we haven’t really had any issues getting the printer and iPad to work together. The auto-leveling is also a big plus. I didn’t want something that needed a lot of manual adjustment every time, and so far it’s been pretty straightforward. Print quality has been surprisingly good too. The details come out clean enough for the small toys and models we’ve tried. It’s also not as noisy as I expected. You can definitely hear it running, but it’s not something that feels overly loud or annoying in the room. It comes with a good amount of filament and accessories, so you don’t have to immediately go out and buy a bunch of extra stuff. The only thing to keep in mind is that this is really more of a kid-friendly starter printer than a professional 3D printer. The print area is fairly small, so you’re mostly limited to smaller toys, models, or little parts. But for kids to learn, experiment, and have fun with 3D printing, I think it’s more than enough. It’s simple, reliable so far, easy for kids to use on their own, and it doesn’t take up much space.

Great first AI 3D printer for kids – fun and easy! We bought the X-MAKER JOY AI (Model V4.0) for our 8-year-old and it’s been a hit from day one. The compact white design looks modern and kid-friendly, and it doesn’t take up much space on a desk or table. The AI features make it really simple to use. Our child was able to start printing with minimal help thanks to the guided setup and app. Print quality is solid for a beginner machine – small models come out clean and detailed. It’s quiet enough to run in a shared room without being annoying. A big plus is the included filament set (PLA 1.75 mm). We got orange, white, rainbow, and a couple of other colors right in the box, so we could start creating immediately without buying extra materials. The filament prints reliably in the 190–210 °C range. Overall, it’s a safe, approachable, and fun introduction to 3D printing for kids. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a beginner-friendly AI 3D printer with everything needed to get started!

first off this is the worst crap ever it is so terrible it took me 5 hours of spitting out filment also this disgusting so called 3d printer is not a 3d printer this is a money sucking terrible doo doo ca ca stupid ai cube. oh also it has no filter three big holes in the top so called filters have fun getting lung cancer. the fimant is also so crappy low material crappy based plastic strands that do nothing but clog and break so if you want to go spen 350 dollars on pre lung cancer have at it. -That is from my 11 year old. I would add that this was a really disappointing machine. You have to reconfigure your wifi to use it. You have to have the app on your phone and your phone only connected to the 2.4 ghz of wifi and not the 5 ghz and the printer also only connected to the 2.4. That took a while to figure out. Loading the filament is hard. We could not get it to print anything even after we got the filament all the way in and the wifi miraculously connected. We spent hours on this. On the third try with a different newer phone, the filament broke inside the loading mechanism and even after taking pieces apart with a screw driver, could not get it out, or in for that matter. Just returning it bc there's nothing to be done with it. We were really excited about getting a 3D printer for my son's birthday and it was just a waste of time. Glad to get my $300 back though. I have a feeling you have to spend a significant amount of money to get a printer that works well.

The entire assembly comes in a transparent viewable enclosure which makes it safe to use with kids around. Setting up is quick and beginner friendly. Comes with a set of PLA filaments which is enough to try a lot of designs. Prtining quality is top notch. Design variation is printed models is neglible. The speed is good enough for many models. The app comes with a large number of ready to use models and customization is also possible. Overall a superb product for this price

Great birthday gift for 11 year old boy!

Bought for my 11 year old son. It was fairly easy to set up with parent help and he's been printing by himself non-stop. I do help him change out the colors, but I think he could do it if needed to. There are lots of free toys and things to print on the app. The app is easy to work. Printer is small and sits on counter, perfect for printing small fidget toys and figures.

Easy to use, Great to beginner

I’m really impressed with this little 3D printer. The setup was very easy, and I especially like that it doesn’t require complicated manual leveling. The enclosed design also makes it feel much safer and cleaner to use around the house. I printed a custom “Uber” sign as my first project, and the results came out surprisingly good. The letters were clear and the overall print quality was much better than I expected from such a compact printer. It’s also fun being able to experiment with different filament colors. The WiFi/app control is another nice feature because I can start and monitor prints without constantly standing next to the printer. The compact size is perfect for a desk or home workspace. Overall, this is a very beginner-friendly 3D printer and a great way to get kids interested in 3D printing and STEM projects.

My grandson who just turned 8 loves it. He said it was his favorite gift! I bought a box of extra threads so he would have every color and they work fine in the printer. I believe it was well worth the money.
