While it does provide good graphics quality and runs most games smoothly, it falls short in a few areas. The cooling system, although effective, can be a bit noisy under heavy load. Additionally, the card's size may be an issue for smaller PC cases.

Lasted 5 months exactly before overheating after 3 minutes of use. It also messed up my motherboard from the weight.

Out of the box memory temps were TERRIBLE. I could NOT keep this big chonkers memory cool. While mining or in game the memory temps would very quickly hit and maintain +100C even with fans manually set to 100%. I also noticed hotspot temps 30C over reported core temp. NOT GOOD. After a few months of dealing with this I finally had enough and decided to crack the card apart and see what was going on. What I found was some of the most nasty oily thermal pads I've ever seen along with a very subpar thermal paste application. I ended up replacing all of the thermal pads with thermalrights and the thermal paste with some Noctua NT-H1. Just like that, the thermal throttling problems I have been facing for months were gone. Card now maintains 60C core and 70C memory temps with only 50% fan speed! It's just terribly sad a card of this caliber was plagued by such poor quality thermal interfaces. I shouldn't have to spend extra money and throw my warranty out the window to get the performance I paid for. **If you bought or are looking to buy this card and have the same problems I did, I used 1.5mm pads on the VRAM and VRMs and a 2.5mm pad on the backplate. ... show more
