Product was not too bad to assemble. Had to take some pieces apart a few times to put together correctly. Instructions could have been a little better. Looks very nice when assembled. Main support legs are a bit light and flimsy. But, overall a decent value for the price.

I need shelter from the sun but our umbrella bit the dust last year, and I’ve been really wanting more shade for our deck. I considered doing a DIY awning with piping and canvas, but the cost and time wasn’t worth it. I’ve seen the pergolas in the big box stores and really liked the look. So I measured the deck area and started looking on Amazon. It took forever to find one that would fit the area. And then I found this one, and because it actually had a picture with measurements that helped all the more. It also had pull down shades and everything I was looking for. Except reviews. 😳 but out of all the other ones I looked at, this one fit and had the best pics of measurements. And was really around the same price as all the others. So I ordered it and it arrived I think about a week. My husband put it together and it took him a little over an hour, until he did the retractable awning… that took a bit of time because at that point the instructions got a bit confusing… but after some trial and error we figured it out. We did end up loosing one of the slider hooks that lock it in place, and when I contacted the company they were quick to respond and the replacement arrived within two days. The pergola frame itself was a little low and couldn’t clear the door so my husband made 4” risers for it. It’s secured to our deck. And when the wind blows it stays put. I’m absolutely very satisfied and happy with this. I feel like I’m up in a tree house. My neighbors have all come to see it. We had rain the first night we put it up and the awning was closed, but when I opened it the next day there was no water trapped in the folds due to the little drip holes they have in there. Again I absolutely love this and extremely happy with our purchase!!! UPDATE: it rained yesterday and we had the awning open and everything under it stayed dried! You will not regret buying this product!!!

Instructions were a little confusing. Hubby put together top wrong but there's so much to disassemble so we're leaving it. It's been out in the rain but not heavy winds yet. We stayed on the deck in the rain playing card games and were perfectly dry under this.

Putting together the pergola itself took a couple of hours... once we got to the fabric canopy it became a bit tricky. We messed up a couple of time and had to re-do some steps, the instructions are not super clear so make sure to pay very close attention to direction of screw holes, the rolling thing at the top all facing in the same direction, etc. Once put together we love it! It seems very sturdy, it has stood up to a few very heavy rain storms and no issues so far!

Once it is up it is a nice addition to the back yard but...the directions were very confusing and we were missing screws. Also 2 legs were damaged and we had to bend the metal to make them work. I contacted the seller they sent the screws right away but asked us to send pictures which I did 4 times. They said the never got them them all 4 times and said someone would be reaching out to me about this. It's been weeks still no call.

I installed a waterproof roofing system UNDER our deck because we spend more time there for the shade (House is on a hill so the deck is up high). We love our deck but basically couldn’t use it in late Spring and Summer because of the heat and direct sunlight. This Pergola solved that problem and looks great at the same time. Couldn’t be happier with it. I have been retracting the roof every time they are calling for rain and keeping it tight with a bungee cord. I also drilled it directly into the deck with screws and washers that I had. I hope it holds up over time in bad winds and storms. Seems sturdy enough.

The instructions could be better. They're not the worst I've seen, but definitely frustrating in places - that is why I took off a star. The instructions say it would take 1-2 hours, it took us two days to put it together. It’s worth the effort though. The materials are good quality and it's easy to use the shades. Very happy.
