Decent, cheap microphones - some cheapness to them, but for the price it's mostly all good
Color: Gray
I got these to use in my karaoke business - selectively, as people who have been imbibing can sometimes be irresponsible with wireless microphones. In comparison, I normally have wired Shure SM-58 and sE Electronics v7 microphones available for singers, which are professional grade standards. First off, these are easy to use and are essentially plug-and-play. You turn on the receiver, you turn on the microphones, and you're good to go. You just need a 1/4" plug (or a 1/8" with the adapter) for input. I use the receiver with a Mackie ProFX12v3+ mixer on one of the microphone channels with compression and low cut. The receiver doesn't have any sort of gain adjustment, but they come in about the same as my other wired microphones. They sound very similar to the other professional microphones I have, but at under 1/6 of the cost per microphone. That makes them nearly disposable for the price. The battery life is mediocre (~5 hours advertised), but it could be improved by swapping the batteries in the mics out with a higher quality cell and by keeping the receiver (which is also battery powered) plugged in to a USB-C charger. The range of the microphones has been adequate for the environments which I have used them in (i.e. bars). I have also used them in areas where there is a lot of interference from multiple wireless sources and a nearby police department with their radios, and I have not noticed any issues there. Singers also tend to have more fun when using them, as they can move around more freely and be more expressive. The downsides to these mics have been mentioned elsewhere, but: they are thicker than a standard microphone, they are very light (that could be a pro or a con), and the "channel" and other information in the displays is just dummy info and doesn't really have any significance. The color of the LED determines the mic status. That said, for the price they're a pretty good deal - especially if you don't have to worry about being out big money if someone drops or destroys one. They sound good enough for public use and singing, and sometimes that's all you need.
