  • Strong, Stable, Premium Feeling Mic Stand That Can Handle Heavy Mics Strong, Stable, Premium Feeling Mic Stand That Can Handle Heavy Mics
I already own another desktop mic stand that has a very similar style and setup to this one, just from a different brand. I loved that one so much that I knew I needed a second stand for another setup, but instead of buying the exact same one again, I decided to try something different and picked up the Aokeo Mic Stand Desk Mount Desktop Microphone Arm. I am genuinely glad I did because this thing is awesome. First off, the build quality is easily a 10 out of 10. This stand feels solid, premium, and extremely durable. The weighted movable base keeps everything planted securely on the desk without needing a clamp, which I actually prefer for certain setups because I can easily move it around wherever I want. It feels sturdy and balanced even with heavier microphones attached. And when I say it can handle heavy microphones, I mean it. I own over 200 microphones, including some pretty heavy ones like my Rode mics, Blue Yeti, FIFINE Tank series, TONOR TD510s, and several other large dynamic microphones, and this stand handled every single one without any issues. No sagging, no wobbling, no cheap feeling joints. It just works. One feature I really liked is the hollow arm cable management design. Being able to route or wrap cables through the arm itself keeps the setup looking much cleaner and more professional instead of having cables hanging everywhere across the desk. The adjustable arms are another big plus. You can easily rotate, swivel, and position the microphone exactly where you want it whether you’re podcasting, streaming, gaming, recording vocals, or on video calls. Once positioned, it stays in place well. Setup was also incredibly simple. I had this assembled and ready to use in maybe two minutes. Everything fit together easily and felt well made right out of the box. For the price, the value here is honestly amazing. You’re getting a heavy-duty all-metal mic arm with wide compatibility thanks to the included 3/8” to 5/8” adapter, clean cable management, excellent stability, and a premium overall feel. This ended up being every bit as good as the more expensive stand I already owned, and now I’m seriously considering grabbing another one. ... show more

  • A Beautifully-Strong Desktop Microphone Stand! A Beautifully-Strong Desktop Microphone Stand!
The Aokeo PC-22 Desktop Microphone Stand is an excellent choice for live studio podcasts and interviews where swinging boom arms would just get in the way of guests and the camera! The adjustable boom arm on this stand has an elegant design on top of sturdy construction! The solid-metal base and arms provide the functional stability to resist tipping and drooping from common podcasting microphones to more sizable condenser microphones! Meanwhile, high-density foam-rubber outlines the bottom of the stand to prevent damage to your desk's surface! The desktop stand arrived as two parts that were easy to assemble using the included hex tool! The only issue during initial inspection was that a top edge of the base had some paint that scratched off at some point of its manufacture or packaging. Fortunately, the surface of the base has a slightly bumpy finish, so correcting cosmetic issues with touch-up paint won't be as noticeable as on a very smooth surface. There isn't a whole lot that can go wrong with a product that's made almost entirely of metal. However, the only concern I might have here is with the two tensioning screws that are adjusted using plastic "wing nut" handles. In the past I've experienced boom stands that had plastic tensioning knobs that either stripped or snapped apart. The plastic tensioning knobs on this product are very effective at producing a lot of clamping force, and do appear to be up to the task. However, their durability under the stress of frequent adjustments remains an unknown at the moment. The Aokeo PC-22 Desktop Microphone Stand is a 5-star product that I recommend without hesitation! ... show more

  • Limited articulation and large size, but does what its supposed to very well.
The base is made of metal and is solid with good weight. The arm is also made of metal, making the stand feel premium. I think the only plastic parts on this stand are the plastic heads on the thumb fasteners that tension each joint. The arms articulate smoothly and can easily hold my 1. 5 lb (0.7 kg) microphone. While it kind of looks like a boom arm mount, it really doesn't fill that role well, due to the extremely limited articulation of this arm. You cannot swivel the arm left and right, you have to drag around the large base to get the desired angle. The boom joint does not move forwards or backwards either, only up and down. The second joint allows for over 18 inches of vertical height adjustment, which is very nice for me as a taller person, I can comfortably position the mic by my mouth without any slouching. Due to the large footprint of the base and the limited articulation, I wouldn't choose this as a desk stand for gaming and video calls unless you have the desk real estate and really need the articulating joint. I would say that if you are deciding between this and a mountable boom arm, I would personally choose the mountable boom. Overall, though this is a great desk stand for those that are looking for this particular style of stand. ... show more

  • Very well constructed desktop microphone stand, works great with Shure SM7B, perfect for podcasting Very well constructed desktop microphone stand, works great with Shure SM7B, perfect for podcasting
This is a fantastic desktop microphone arm. It does work with the Shure SM7B which is a very heavy mic. The arm is made of metal and it has a nicely balanced base that does not tip over when the arm is extended. The arm has 2 pivot points to angle the mic up and down, but it will not pivot left to right. The wingnuts keep the position really well. It does not wobble at all. The overall quality is excellent. It also comes with adapters to fit a 3/8 or a 5/8 microphone. It will also work with the Blue Yeti mic. I have used other desktop stands in the past, and this is a a really good stand. Aokeo makes great audio equipment. This would be fantastic for podcasting, creating video reviews, live streaming or for a home recording studio. The only assembly required it to screw in 2 screws to attach the arm to the baseplate. It took 30 seconds to set up. Overall, this is a great desktop mic stand for a good price. I would absolutely recommend this mic stand for the Shure SM7B. It looks professional and works perfectly. ... show more

  • Really Impressive Desktop Mic Stand Really Impressive Desktop Mic Stand
This is a very solid and well made desktop mic stand. It has a nice weight to it which is perfect for stability and for supporting various microphones. The whole thing looks great with the matte black finish (although mine has a tiny finish flaw on the base where it looks like it may have been scratched during packaging?) There are brass adapters for multiple thread sizes of microphone mounts and again these adapters also look and feel overbuilt. The base piece has a thin rubberized layer of cushioning to prevent things from scratching a desk or floor surface. Assembly was easy with the included Allen screws and wrench and the arm adjustment knobs feel solid and are easy to tweak as needed. And the wide range of motion for the arms is really convenient and useful. Not only will I be using this on a desktop but I think I’ll try using it on the floor in front of guitar amp speakers and kick drums as well. This stand is really impressive to me and I highly recommend it! 5 Stars. ... show more

  • It's stable, but not as versatile as I'd like It's stable, but not as versatile as I'd like
My experience with Aokeo is that they have ok pride, but they are overpriced. This stMd reinforces that opinion. It is a heavy stand, and stable enough, but it needs to have a hinge on the base, which it doesn't. I kept having to physically push the stand away from me, to adjust the microphones proximity to me, instead of being able to adjust a hinge near the base, like you can with a boom arm. I was constantly reaching for it and disappointed it wasn't there. The other issue with it is that it mentions cable management. I don't know what kind of cables these guys are using, but it is obvious that you can't route cables through the slots in the stand, because you cannot fit an XLR or even a TRS Jack from there. So what's the point? It has a couple hinges on the upper part of the arm, so it's a little more versatile than the desk stands I've gotten for around $17, but not enough to justify this costing so much more. I think it's worth about $25, but not 50. ... show more

  • Budget friendly and very stable Budget friendly and very stable
The Aokeo Mic Stand Desk Mount is a highly practical, budget-friendly boom arm for gamers. It effectively eliminates desk clutter and keyboard vibration noises, effortlessly holding heavy mics at the perfect angle for intense gaming sessions and Discord chats. There is nothing worse for your squad than a microphone that picks up every aggressive click of your mechanical keyboard or the thump of an accidental desk-slam. By mounting your mic to your desk, the Aokeo isolates your voice while leaving your mouse and keyboard free to move without bumping into bulky, tabletop stands. Keeping your battle station looking clean is half the fun of building a PC setup. The Aokeo includes built-in cable channels or velcro ties that effortlessly hide your mic's cord. It keeps your line-of-sight clear so you can focus 100% on your monitors. ... show more

  • Ay okay, Yo! Short Solid Desk Mic Stand Ay okay, Yo! Short Solid Desk Mic Stand
Aokeo is a desk Mic stand with a solid base. This thing has solid-grade machining. The stand can be adjusted to any angle at three different articulation points. It has a metallic dot inserted into the base to indicate its center of balance. Fits professional Mic's of both standard and European sizes. It does Not fit the Aokeeo wireless Mic's properly. Here is the one issue; you have to physically pick up and move the stand left and right or force the rubber feet around the desk to turn it left or right. The only other way to turn it left and right is by using it sideways, which is impractical. I really think it's a good hard stand but I took a point off because of the lack of the swing mechanism. It's solid, a bit pricey, but I'm using it. ... show more
