I am enjoying learning to hand embroider. This kit comes with everything you need to get started. My only complaints are with the instruction video and the included needle threader. My needle threader broke after a day but that may be the case with any needle threader. Also I don’t care for the included instructional videos so I prefer to search on YouTube and find better ones

This was my first trip into embroidery. I wanted something to do in the evenings while I watched my shows and I bought this on a whim. The price and quality are great. It kept me busy for a few months (just a bit at a time). I liked it so much that I bought it for a friend as well. It's also got a youtube link so you can watch some of the more complicated stitches instead of just trying to figure it out via paper instructions. I'll get more for sure.

The project is fun, but the paper directions get confusing and refers you to their YouTube channel and you have to watch long videos to get to the one stitch that confuses you. It’s easier to search for the stitch on YouTube and get a quick answer. The entire project doesn’t take that long. Good drills to help learn or refresh yourself on how to do needle point.

CONS: *The dark fabric is not a pretty brown ( which is how I saw it on my monitor ) It is a brown but mixed with too much green so it looks dirty, imo, and not pretty. It's just brown green gray and so no that one. * The material: is thick enough I could reupholster our tractor seat with this stuff..... :/ * The hoop does not tighten anymore than it comes already. I don't care for the tension as the fabric is too loose for me. ( you can wrap the inner hoop with fabric though ) * The floss/thread is the quality of Coats & Clark. So if you like that brand, you'll like this thread; I however do not. * The needles aren't' the greatest. PROS: * For the money you get everything you need to make a project and or find out if you even like embroidery. ( although I wouldn't use this kit as a good example because the better your tools and fabric will always give you a more true experience but this will work. If you like to hand sew then you should like embroidery ) * 3 pre-printed fabric pieces. Package of thread. Printed instruction sheets telling you what stitch to use for each project. A generic pair of itty bitty but sharp scissors. 2 styles of needle threaders. 1 stitch puller. And a hoop. I bought because I wanted the printed template but silly me never considered the quality of the fabric and I don't like it. I'm still new to embroidery but I already have the tools I like so I didn't need all the stuff, I just wanted the flowers on fabric. Good'ish enough for basic intro without breaking the bank.

For starters I got this kit because of the pattern and I wanted to learn the basic stitches. I am a complete beginner this is the first pattern I used and here are three tips I would recommend. 1. Use the bigger eyed needle for easier use the little threader broke I was recommended to fix it with hot glue or another type of glue but when I switched the needle out I didn't need the threader. 2. The thread is cute that it comes with but when I switched the DMC branded thread it went a lot smoother. 3. I would recommend watching the youtube video on a laptop while you do the stiches so you can pause it. The video is excellent. I gave it 5 star because the cost of the kit is 100% worth it. It came with the floss, needles, instructions, 3 patterns, 1 ring. The ring works really well I will end up using it again for other projects. I love the video too the that they have that goes with it. This was a great value for what it was. I would consider buying it again and recommend it for a starter. The ink on the pattern is washable so if you don't want it saying S1 or something and you only wanted the stitches like myself you can wash that other part off. I would recommend waiting until you did the entire embroidery because if you do it on part of it the entire thing will disappear. They have multiple warnings of this on the packaging. Great product very happy with it.
