The remote is removable which allows you to easily activate the camera at a distance. How to Pair and Operate: 1. Click Menu 2. Go to Network tab 3. Make sure Airplane Mode is turned off 4. Go to Bluetooth Settings 5. Turn ON Bluetooth Function 6. Go to PAIRING 7. Been looking for a tripod for my IPhone. This was the perfect height, the clip that holds my phone is very tight. The stick feel pretty sturdy, at least sturdy enough to hold my phone. I wish there was a place to mount the remote on the tripod. Synching the remote with the phone was easy enough and it was easy to press the button to immediately start recording, though I've notice it was adjust the volume instead sometimes. Not a big deal though since I don't use the remote too often. Overall, I like this product, it suits my needs ... show more

I had the Sony version of this but left it in the Bahamas. Oops. Needless to say I ordered this. Great idea right? Well kind of. The snap off remote would be amazing if it worked. I mean standing 10 feet or so away from the camera being able to control it would be great, but I can't get it to work unless I'm about two feet away. But at the moment it will do until I find something else ... show more
