Description

Shooting a still photo 1. Set the camera for still photo shooting and set the drive mode of the camera to remote control. 2. Set the mode of the Remote Control to < ● > (immediate release) or < 2S > (2-sec. delay release) by pressing the < M > mode button on the Remote Control. 3. Press the shutter release button on the Remote Control, the camera automatically focuses (AF). (The camera needs to be set to AF(auto focus) mode. ) 4. When the focus is achieved, the camera takes a picture immediately (mode setting on the Remote Control is < ● >) or in 2 seconds delay (mode setting on the Remote Control is < 2S >). Shooting a movie 1. Set camera to movie shooting mode < video > and set [Remote Control] to [Enable] from the menu screen of the camera. 2. Set the mode of the Remote Control to < video > (movie shooting) by pressing the < M > mode button on the Remote Control. 3. Press the shutter release button on the Remote Control, movie shooting starts. 4. Press the button again, movie shooting stops. [Notes] 1. When the camera is set to AF (auto focus) mode, it can also be focused by pressing the < AF > button on the Remote Control. 2. Depending on the camera, the setup method for remote control shooting may differ. Refer to the instruction manual for your camera.

Packaged well and quick delivery, but this was returned, as I couldn't get it to pair up with my Canon 77D. It would pair up with my Canon 90D, but once paired up, I couldn't get the buttons to operate the camera. I liked the design and position of the controls, but couldn't use it on my favorite cameras. I do not own a mirrorless camera, yet, but this is supposed to work with the cameras that I do have, and I have other older remotes that do operate these cameras. ... show more

I’ve been using the AODELAN wireless shutter release with my Canon R7, and it’s become one of those small tools I didn’t realize I needed until I had it. The convenience of not having to touch the camera when shooting makes a noticeable difference, especially for tripod setups or long exposures. Pairing it with the R7 was quick and hassle-free, and it’s been reliable from the start. I like how intuitive the controls feel, with clearly labeled buttons that make operation smooth even in low light. The ability to trigger the shutter remotely without introducing any camera shake has helped improve the sharpness of my landscape shots. I’ve also used it for quick self-portraits and group shots, and the 2-second delay option is a nice touch. The remote feels solid in hand, not flimsy like some cheaper ones I’ve tried in the past. I’ve also found the OLED display helpful for keeping track of settings and battery status. It charges via USB-C which is a modern convenience I always appreciate. The range has been strong and consistent, even outdoors. I haven’t used the zoom functions much since they require specific setups, but for shutter release alone it’s been great.
