I built a new house and didnt want to drill into it just yet. Bought this thing and was skeptical, but amazingly it works for a ring spotlight pro. This works pretty well. It allows multiple angles and rotations. The part that mounts to the siding will last a long time, but don't expect the ball joint and clamp that holds it to last more than 2 years. If you replace proactively, it may save you from a broken camera. I checked and replacement parts are not available. If the company would sell the replacement parts, I'd rather purchase those rather than have to create more waste by throwing way the perfectly fine base. Some products just have a limited life when used outdoors. It's not something a company will advertise in the description, but you should be informed. ... show more

There are no instructions for how to use this and the adapter pieces are far from self-explanatory. In fact, they don’t fit anything! I don’t have a solar charger, so I can’t speak on the adapter for that, but the “ring camera adapter“ most certainly does not actually fit the ring camera, and I have the exact version that the listing says this amount is compatible with. I can get it to screw into the camera directly, but I’m screwing metal into plastic threads which have already been stripped now. I’m sure it will work temporarily, but I’m going to have to find another solution, because there’s no way that screwing metal into plastic threads is going to last very long. Super annoyed!!! don’t buy it if you don’t want to have to replace it soon! ... show more

Didn’t feel really secure so I glued it on to siding where it didn’t hook! I also had to drill holes to get the screws to secure! Overall not bad but if you don’t secure it down it could come off your siding! Also don’t install it were someone could get to it easily because with this bracket you can just yank it off the house. ... show more
