Just slide it in and go. Note if this is put at a low level anyone can just come up and steal the camera. If it’s at a higher level anyone with a ladder can steal your camera. I already knew that going into this. Easy to set up. Only caveat is the adjustment ball. After a good rain storm my camera started to slowly angle down. Even though I tightened the screw on this pivot ball. It would still slowly angle down. I had to wrap the pivot ball on the device in some paper towel to add some friction to keep it at the angle desired. That was cheap simple and maybe just a fluke with mine. I was able to put under my siding without screws and besides for the pivot problems device has not been blown or come loose from its mounting. I like it.

Supported the Ring spotlight cam and even held up during tropical storm Debby! Highly recommend. Our siding isn’t vinyl and it still worked! Update: this also held up during Hurricane Helene!

I'm using with a Ring stick up camera and is great, BUT probably not sturdy enough for the heavier spotlight or floodlight cameras.

Didn't want to drill into the vinyl and needed to hand up my Ring Spotlight Cam. Found this for a good price and decided to try out. Came in just a brown box with different attachments but no instructions. I wasn't aware that the back of the spotlight cam slid out and messaged the company for help. They respond rather quickly with the instructions and I was able to get it installed. That was the only difficult part of the install.

I found this mount to work really well for a Ring Spotlight Solar mounted on vinyl siding on the east side of our home. However, after a couple of years, I found the camera pointed at the ground this morning. The plastic has significantly degraded and the ball mount from the camera is crumbling. Attempted to tighten the mount further to hold the view horizontal and one side of the clamp holding the ball cracked off. The plastics in this mount do not appear to be UV resistant.

The concept was good but the execution was terrible. When I first opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised that it had mounts for both the Ring Solar Panel and Super Solar Panel (which is a little bigger). It can also be screwed directly into the back of a Ring Camera. The swivel could accommodate every mounting angle and direction. It went downhill from there. The only metal parts were the siding hook, metal pin and screws. Every other piece was plastic. When I tried to install it on a Super Solar Panel, the attachment plate was slightly too thin. Turn it the wrong direction and the solar panel slipped off. At first I thought it was okay, since I could always super glue it so followed through on the installation. Once I got it up, it was so flimsy that the panel started drooping. It a POS. Sorry I bought three of these. I'll try to return it and if they accept it back (I wouldn't..) I'll raise the rating to two stars.
