It's small, cheap, and powered by a USB cable (power plug adapter included). But I put a 1000ml flask on it, with about 700ml of water, mixed up some chemicals, and it seemed to work fine. I doubt it has enough umph for serious chemistry work on things like thicker liquids, but it worked great for my light-duty mixing needs. ... show more

    • Not powerful enough - Magnetic pull
The magnetic stirrer plate is not powerful enough. The magnetic pill slings off the magnetic pull even at slow speeds. I had to replace the unit with a better one.
