  • Super Quick shipping and great quality and price!!!
Model: Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo
Bye Bye Bamboo - This printer is amazing. I got the COMBO. Easy setup and right out of the box Quality printing! Use the ORCA slicer instead of the ANYCUBIC Slicer or download the KOBRA S1 Printer settings from Reddit for printing other filaments. Great value and Great starting printer!!!!

  • New to 3D printing, great first printer
I'm still learning but I'm getting better. I bought two different Anycubic printers... This is the 2nd one. I was drawn to it because I felt I needed more speed than the Anycubic Kobra Neo. This works identically however it definitely is faster but I've been told that speed is a sacrifice if you also want quality. I haven't tried to print anything of high quality at 500 after a few failed prints. Hopefully I can figure out how to do better high-speed prints. One of the big selling points for me was the wireless networking printing. I was excited to try wireless printing but after my first failed project dragged a deep line in the heated plate...i had to step back and rethink wanting to actually do network printing till I get more practice with the app. I may have to come back and update. My review if I can get it to work without damaging anything else. I don't think it's the printers fault... Just a learning curve that I need more time to fix. I've printed a ton of projects now and most have turned out great! I use CURA exclusively... I want to try other slicers to see if I can get better. Good luck and happy printing ... show more

  • Not made to last
Model: Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo
What could have been a great starter printer is ruined by poor design choices. The whole setup looks user friendly at first. They make components visible and easy to order, but once you start using it, you realize how unimportant those "features" are compared to the massive design flaws they overlooked. The camera is fixed at an angle in the corner and cannot even see the nozzle directly. Why not position it in a way that lets it actually detect real issues instead of mistaking shadows for print problems or completely missing a failed print? The hotend is marketed as quick change, but it's hidden behind a plastic cover that you have to crush to remove. The ACE dryer cannot feed certain filaments properly due to its flawed feeder design. This issue could have easily been solved by adding feed ports directly on the spool holder, like most other feeding dryers do. The dryer itself is just a heater box with a fan, no moisture sensor, no smart controls, and the default temps are too high. Filament would get jammed because it was stretched by the feeder, making it too thin to feed properly. Worse, to use filaments the ACE can’t feed, you have to power it off and physically remove it from the feed port. There is only a single input, even if you buy the combo that includes the ACE printer. I made it through two Benchy prints before I had my first feeding issue caused by stretched filament. After that came a stuck cutter. I spent two weeks trying to get consistent Benchy prints for calibration. Sometimes a part would start printing, only to fail halfway. Eventually, the extruder clogged completely and stopped feeding. At that point, I had to step back and seriously evaluate whether it was worth investing any more time. I ultimately decided to return it. ... show more

  • Easy setup and works out of the box, seems solid
I watched some assembly videos first but it was very easy to assemble, four bolts to connect the base to the upright and four bolts for the spool holder. I leveled the z-axis first using a combination square and then leveled the bed. Bed leveling was a manual process on this one, I lowered the bed all the way first to make sure the nozzle wouldn't hit, and then followed the instructions. I was fairly easy to do, but after leveling I found that the center of the bed did not have the same clearance as the edges (slightly humped in the middle, but very small), so I dropped the bed slightly and had to relevel everything. I read somewhere that the bed should be leveled when warmed up first so I may try this again. Doing the first test print, It took a couple of tries to get the first layer to stick. I just canceled the print each time and cleaned off the stringy mess, and on attempt #3 it finally stuck and the test print owls came out fine after that. For the price and ease of use this printer is great. Can't say too much about print quality since I just got it, but seems fine and seems like a solid printer for starting out with. I gave it five stars because at this price point I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and usability of everything and so it is definitely worth it ... show more

  • Solid Multicolor Printer for Functional Projects
Model: Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo
The media could not be loaded. This is a great 3D printer setup that was easy to put together, and the included QR codes link to helpful videos that walk you through the assembly. The software is straightforward and user-friendly, and print quality is very good most of the time. I’ve had a few spaghetti incidents here and there, but overall it handles tools, jigs, brackets, and other functional prints beautifully. It’s capable of doing miniatures, but the layer lines are noticeable enough that I wouldn’t recommend it for anything beyond personal hobby use. The multicolor function is a nice touch, and the built-in camera and quiet operation make it convenient for home use. For everything other than high-detail miniatures, this is an outstanding machine. ... show more
