Excellent product, came on time and everything came with it no problems. Very durable for the price, it will also sand metal, wood pvc. But of course each material you use it on will have a its own wear and tear on the sandpaper. Overall I rate it 5 out of 5!

    • Disc scratches the surface you are polishing
I strongly recommend against buying this item. When we installed the wool pad onto the Velcro disc, I immediately noticed that the wool pads are exactly the same diameter or a little smaller than the Velcro disc. No matter how carefully you try to position the wool pad on the disc, the edge of the disc is still exposed, which caused my concern over potentially scratching the headlight we were about to polish. Sure enough, no matter how careful I tried to be, that is exactly what happened. I was NOT using sandpaper, but just rubbing compound and the wool pad. The disc created four scratches now in the headlight!! I am not happy about that at all. It would be close to impossible to use this without the Velcro disc touching the surface you are polishing, & highly likely that you will have the same problem I did. I had to spend another $20 for sandpaper, so that I can try to remove the deep scratches, & I am not sure if I can, but I was told it will take a long time to gently hand-sand those with 3000 and then 5000 grit paper. There is another 6" wool pad sold by Porter Cable that overhangs the Velcro disc and hides the disc, which I am hoping and trusting will prevent the disc from touch the surface when I redo that headlight with rubbing compound following the hand-sanding I now need to do to remove the scratches. ... show more
