I am pleasantly surprised that this actually works. Very simple and effective. I was not able to achieve perfect results, but I was able to remove 80% of a large dent that was at the roof/side junction on my wife's Kia Soul. The dent is in a really bad spot and was really ugly, but now, while still noticeable, it's a vastly improved. The glue really sticks and it did remove the clearcoat in a couple of spots, but that was easily repaired. Take your time and follow the simple directions and this kit really works. To get the glue off of the car I used a hair dryer to soften, then used the included scraper, and then a citrus cleaner to remove all residue. ... show more

I read many of the reviews. The quality of the device is good. In general this is for small dents. The puller allows for incremental pull up distance . If you have big dents you will likely need a different puller. I did use the biggest tab and the puller did not have the distance to pull it up. The glue kept the tab stuck to the car and the puller was fully depressed. The tabs are good and strong. As other reviewers have mentioned it is missing instructions. I thought this was a non issue as I could look up usage on internet but there are things that only Gliston could offer insights. Here are a few: 1) What is difference between yellow and black glue sticks? Their email response said yellow is stronger - though my trial and error indicates black is stronger. 2) how long to wait for glue gun to melt? My experience is it's not long enough to wait for melt, you need to wait longer for hot. So I would think 5+ minutes. Too soon and my glue would not stick to the car it would pop off when I used the puller. Waiting longer solved it. 3) which tab to use? This is not Gliston specific but in general too small meant more work. Bigger seemed better. The downside is once pulled I usually had a bump - I still do not know how to effectively make it look flat. Getting bumps down is much much harder than pulling dents up. I would buy again but plan on spending time getting it done perfect. Pulling dents itself is rather fast. Getting it flat is still an art I have yet to master. ... show more

It's not as effective or easy as I had hoped-- but then again, body shops exist for a reason. In the end, the spot I fixed is still visible, but not nearly as indented as before. I initially struggled with the glue popping off the car or the attachment piece popping off of the glue. The only way I could get a strong enough bond was to use enough to engulf the head of the attachment piece. The hot glue gun couldn't pump the glue fast enough so I had the most success with a heat gun. I also gave the glue longer time to set. With my final technique, it took me 3 or 4 applications to work the dent out. The mechanics of the kit work and make sense— the struggle is getting the glue to hold Removing the glue is a pain and requires a mix of heat, scraping, alcohol and wet sanding. I'm repainting this panel, so no big deal to use sandpaper— but be prepared to spend a lot of time scraping on a nice paint job. ... show more

    • Garbage, Does Not Work!

It is dry and about 50 degrees when I tried this. First the instructions don’t tell you the difference between the yellow or black glue. But it doesn’t matter because neither works! I tried this on my camper first, heat the yellow (according to others this is the strong one) glue then stick on the dent, wait 5 minutes then pull. With very little pressure the tab comes undone. Second try, heat the yellow glue then stick the tab on the dent and sit there and apply pressure the entire 5 minutes. Again, tab pops right off. Third try, heat the black glue, put tab on dent and wait 5 minutes. Same results, pops right off with barely any pressure. Fourth try, heat the yellow glue put it on the tab and try it on the truck this time. Wait 5 minutes, nope, product is just garbage, return. ... show more

I used it to get a couple small dents out of my tailgate and car door. I then used it to fix my tool bench. Also use the hot glue gun to fix a bunch of broken things around the house. Bottom line… Everything worked great, and the yellow glue is the stickiest.

Worked to pull two small dings in a 22 Yukon and and a 20 Chevrolet Bolt. I learned the hard way that if you do this outdoors in the sun the glue is very difficult to remove. Ended up using goof off and elbow grease. Went to do the 20 Bolt which was parked in a subterranean garage and the glue dot came right off! Cool subterranean parking with an LED shop light and you are good to go. Great product for the price!! ... show more

I am a novice PDR guy working solely on my cars and not very good admittedly.... But from what I HAVE done so far, I am not a fan if this particular glue stick. 1 - it is super tenacious on the car and doesn't remove easily. 2 - it is NOT tenacious on the pull tabs at all. I can never get a good pull where the tab POPS off with the puller, rather it pulls off maybe there is a specific reason where you would use....but for me I won't be buying these again.
