Features

  • Anubias Congensis Mini is a great looking aquatic plant that adds a tropical vibe and a short, bushy look that also looks great in a paludarium.
  • The leaves are slenderer and sharper than other Anubias, and its size is shorter overall than regular Congensis which works great in the midground of your tank.
  • Ships 3-5" tall rooted in wool which should be removed prior to planting. Gently squeeze the pot, peel back the wool, rinse, and plant! Keep the rhizomes above your substrate or the plant can begin to rot.
  • Will thrive attached directly onto hardscape such as driftwood and stones using thread or aquarium glue and will grow fine either immersed in a humid environment or fully submerged.
  • Easy Care - Anubias have low light requirements, can benefit from regular fertilization, and do not require additional Co2 making them a great choice for beginners to live aquatic plants.

Description

Anubias Congensis Mini variation is an excellent plant for the beginning hobbyist. This attractive plant has small, dark green, oblong leaves that prove to be a beautiful accent when placed around wood or rocks of an aquascape. Anubias Congensis mini rhizomes can be attached to a rock, piece of driftwood, or other tank decoration. You can tie the plant down with thread or fishing line to encourage it to root in a specific spot. Wherever placed, do not cover the rhizome because this will result in rot. Keep this in mind if you plan on planting this plant in substrate--plant the roots only, not the rhizome. This plant can be grown either submersed or emersed.

  • Beautiful plants!
Size: 3 Pots Color: Nana Golden
I don't write reviews very often but since I have had a hard time trying to find a place to buy plants for my aquarium and had to resort to buying online, I thought I would review to make it easier for others in the same boat. I have always been nervous about buying live aquarium plants online. I bought a 3 pack of potted golden leaf Nana plants. Amazon said my order would be delivered almost 2 weeks later from the day I made my purchase. However, SubstrateSource had my plants shipped and delivered a lot sooner than that. It was 2 days after my order that they were actually shipped. I ordered on a Friday and they weren't shipped until the following Monday. I am assuming they took into account that it was the weekend and they didn't want to risk any delays because of that which I really appreciate. After they were shipped, I recieved them not even a full 48 hours later. From CA to my home in OH, I was pretty impressed. Very happy they weren't in transit for very long. They were packaged really well. I can't explain how happy I was with how gorgeous they were. The size of them were your typical standard size for potted Nana plants. They had so many bright colored leaves. Each pot had 2 rhizomes so technically I ended up with 6 plants. I have had difficulty with getting potted anubias plants out of pots before but these were easy to take out including the removal of the rock wool. I checked over each plant thoroughly looking for pest snails and couldn't find any. I can't say you won't get any hitchhikers at all but I didn't come across a single one. They didn't take too long to acclimate to my tank water after I got them in my tank. The leaves looked perfect in my tank after only a few days. Shipping was awesome, plants were gorgeous and healthy, no hitchhikers from what I could see and they were a good size plant with lots of leaves. Since SubstrateSource has a variety of anubias, I will definitely buy again. There are a few different abubias plants I want to add to my tank. Honestly, you can't beat the price either. Usually prices I have seen for single potted anubias Nana plants are $12 to $14 each and I got 3 for approximately $30 after shipping. I would recommend buying plants from this company for sure! ... show more

  • Beware of snails!
Size: Pot Color: Nana Pinto
Beautiful but small, please advise hungry snails will destroy it (happened to me). I don’t have any pre-scavenged pics but trust me. It will grow larger and grow more leaves the longer you have it but came early, beautiful leaves, pricey but pretty. I’ve never had such a beautiful plant. Easy to plant if you know what you’re doing. Left in the cup for days and no rot. ... show more

  • Great plant
The plant arrived healthy and as-described. It was removed from the original container and tied to a piece of wood in the aquarium. After being in the tank for a few months (so far), the plant is now attached to the wood through its roots and has new growth. Would definitely recommend.

  • Very pleased!! Beautiful healthy plants!
I'm using sand as my gravel for my little tank. These little guys came quicker than I expected. They were packaged well, with heat warmers to keep them happy during transport during cold months. They looked very healthy. I let them sit on my desk to acclimate to room temp for a few hours, then floated them in the bags for twice as many hours in the tank, then ripped a hole in the bag to add some tank water and let them continue floating overnight, then in the morning I took them out and put them in the sand. I had no fish yet in my new tank so I wasn't really concerned about contamination. I'm getting more sand because there isn't enough to cover the pots. I've slowly been bringing the temp up from 72 deg to 77 over the last 5-8 days. They still look super healthy! I definitely will buy again! These were also the best priced plants I could find on Amazon. I'm thrilled at the value and quality! I will add a pic once more sand comes. I also got some plant fertilizer that came a few days after adding them to the tank, so I added that to help them thrive in their new environment. ... show more

  • All good except one
Size: 3 Pots Color: Barteri
Beautiful plants were well packed, all arrived in good condition except for one, I had to throw one away because the root rotted. I ordered 3 pots of plants, there were two in each pot and one of the two in the pot turned out to have a rotten root and the leaves fell off as soon as I took it out of the package ... show more

  • My Betta loves them
The media could not be loaded. Our betta fish LOVES these. We had a fake plant in the tank before, he pretty much stayed away from it. Now he is always hiding in these plants and relaxing behind them. Each container came with two small seperate plants. I ordered 2, so technically I had 4 small ones. You’ll see what looks like 2 plants in the tank because I still wanted it to look fuller, instead of 4 small pieces. They come in a small pot with the roots wrapped in wool, for the most part it was easy to carefully pull the wool off, there was one piece that the wool was a little more difficult to get off the roots, so just had to be extra careful and slow. I read that the wool wouldn’t harm anything so left the small amount of wool that was hard to get off so that I didn’t damage the roots. I posted a video, the only reason he swam out was because that’s the area I feed him at and the time I feed him. He usually just chills by the filter, so I know he likes them because he hangs out in them sometimes now. ... show more
