Not difficult to peel off and apply to the glass. The birds are opaque but they do not interfere with looking out the windows. I like how they appear from the inside especially. I have huge floor to ceiling windows in my office at work, and consistently had birds hitting them. One day a hummingbird hit the glass and died. After that heart break, I searched on Amazon for something to help. The same day these went up, I stopped having birds hit my glass.
