My reason for purchasing was to deter our 3 dogs from barking at anything and everything they saw out the windows. Squirrels, school buses, mail trucks, a neighbor walking to their car, if it moved you name it, they barked at it. I ordered all together 12 rolls of the 17.5" x 78.7" pure. The frosted pure color seemed to brightened the room, and now no need for curtains or valances for privacy anymore! I loved that this product was thick and easily re-positioned. I took the advice form other reviews and used a spray bottle with a drop of dish soap. I'm impressed, this cling film doesn't move once dry and even holds up to my dogs scratching at the sliding glass door to get let out in the mornings. I must admit the first window was a learning experience, but after that, all of the other windows went up in a snap! Best of all, my plants also seemed to improve in health and thrive because of the UV sun filtering effect.

The film was ideal when used to cover one eye of my eye glasses. The application is for Archery. People with eyewear must close one of their eyes when aiming for the target. For people with eyewear it is better to leave both eyes open but hinder the lazy eye but not to completely block light. The opaqueness of the film is perfect for the application.

Needed something to cover the sidelight windows in our new door. Looks frosted. I used one roll of film for this job. I found that it was easier to measure the window space first then cut the film to that exact size. (The first piece I didn’t trim it until I put it on the window and it took longer) The two pieces of separating tape didn’t work so I had to keep rubbing the corner with my nail to get it to eventually separate from the backing. Had to keep spraying the window to keep it wet while I was readjusting the film. I think it looks great and I love the frosted look.

I love it! I’m a dog trainer and often have dogs outside while my dog is inside. My patio doors are glass and there’s been a few times where a dog tried to attack the glass when it saw my dog. If I have a reactive or aggressive dog I’m working with I don’t want them staring at another dog until we’ve reached the point we are ready to tackle distractions. This product has been great for eliminating that from happening in the future. Installing wasn’t as difficult as I anticipated. My tip would be to do it at night. I did one side at night and the other during the day. It was much easier at night because the water doesn’t dry as fast- so you have a longer time to adjust, get bubbles out and cut. Probably took 30 minutes per panel so an hour for both glass pieces. I’d recommend and buy again.

We were using the black mirrored window film at first. During the day, it’s mostly good at blocking out views, but if there’s a light inside your home, it cancels out and the windows become see through. It’s also see through at night. I wanted to be able to have the blinds open with natural light coming in, without people constantly trying to trying to look into our windows from across the street. These frosted window films have been the perfect solution! They are not see through both day and night!!

I bought another brand of this, and it seemed fine, except peeling the back off was very frustrating. This brand is much easier to deal with, I could peel them apart with my fingers (with some fiddling) but the other brand was difficult, even with the tape they provide. Installation onto the window was a little easier also. Update: after I wrote this, I discovered that the brand that I liked better was this brand, but I bought it about a year ago. Since that time, they have made the backing thinner which makes it harder to remove before installing. So, I am taking two stars off because of cheapening the product. The product itself, which goes onto the window seems the same, so if you get it installed, its fine. I did discover that if you use some tweezers and stretch the corner of it, that helps separate the backing, but then your corner is a little distorted. The tape they supply to separate the backing will work for about 4-6 windows, in my experience. I had to cover 17 windows, although some were small window panes.

this was easy to apply and the fact that it can be removed just as easily is a plus. We needed something to keep our dog from jumping on the window sill to look outside and bark at everything in sight! Worked like a charm, and lets plenty of light though. We also applied it to the sidelites at our front door entry - and looks as though a lightly-frosted window pane was factory installed. Definitely recommend.
