The color scheme of our living room is very earthy.. green couch, yellow wallpaper and lamps, with shades of brown black or taupe. Our couch is an actual vintage couch, so it was originally an emerald /jade green 70 years ago, but now it has faded into a glorious vintage, silvery green. I love our couch, and it is the focal point of the living room. After much consideration and hours of thoughtful contemplation for which kind of rug we might want to have in our living room, we landed on these rugs. At first, I thought we wanted black for a dramatic effect. When we receive the black rugs, they were beautiful and very soft and nice quality. Unfortunately, I very quickly realized the black pattern was too busy and dark for the room. Thankfully the black looked great with the 8x10 in our bedroom and the 6x9 in the dining room, so we kept them, but we still needed to figure out a new plan for our living room rugs. I had been eyeballing the green before I bought the black, but hesitated because I was keenly aware of the review debate about the true color of green I would receive. Armed with the knowledge that these are at least a decent quality rug, and the peace of mind, knowing I could really return it if I wanted to, I decided to just go for it and purchase the green. Not only do we have no regrets now, but I can report back that the green rug is definitely a light mint / sea foam / faded emerald green color. My pictures make it look darker than it really is and I think that is what is going on with the manufacturer photos as well. It’s a difficult color to photograph, but if you can set your trust issues aside, and believe all of us who told you it is a lighter green. It really is a great color and it has this calming vintage patina look to it that is spectacular. I already feel more calm. Just looking at it for 20 minutes. I also have another interesting observation to share with you. We purchased a black 8 x 10 and green 8 x 10. We also purchased the same colors in 6 x 9. Four rugs total. What I noticed right away on my foot is that the 8 x 10 rugs are not as soft to the touch, as the 6 by 9s are. Overall it’s not a big deal, but just thought I would mention it. I suppose if somebody is really concerned about things like that, this is where you would want to pay more money for a more consistent quality. With two dogs in the house and light-colored carpeting, one can guess how that results in stains, etc. At least that's true for these dogs and my house. I didn't want to spend thousand$ on rugs, but I wanted something that would cover a large area and look nice. These Antep rugs are perfect for me. They really look nice. They are heavy enough so that they are not shifting around, but they are easy to carry and lay down on the floor. I got the maroon colored one for the sitting room and I like it so much that I got a blue with the same design for the TV room. I got them both in the same large size. They were easily delivered and brought into the home. They do look more expensive than they really are which always pleases me. ... show more

this is by far the best rug i've ever purchased. it is exactly as mentioned in the description. its very soft and the color is beautiful. the size is perfect. just keep in mind when receiving the rug it is tightly rolled so give it some time to be completely flat on the corners of the rug. I would recommend placing something heavy on the corners over night to completely flatten the rug. I would highly recommend this rug if you are looking for a rug to be placed in your living room. ... show more

I like the beauty of design and color, but I'm having trouble with ripples keeping the rug from laying flat. Could be a trip and fall problem! Have tried heavy weights, even putting a heating pad. Have wood floor so can't wet the rug. Also tried the little sticky pads, but didn't help. Have heavy couches on 2 sides that keep most of thr rug in place. ... show more

I ordered this runner yesterday after I had been looking for last year to match an older American Oriental rug. Received it today. The color matched perfectly and print similar enough to blend from hallway to Living area. Very Happy with quality and pile, which was perfect under door swing. It was wrinkly upon lying on floor but straightened right out with carpet tape and a little gentle stretching. I'm pretty sure in description it said rubber backing, which it does not have, but wasn't a game changer. Would recommend. ... show more

The rug looks great but its a bit less soft than I was hoping for and was shipped wrapped in plastic that was left outside. I don't even remember if it was raining the day it was delivered honestly but the plastic was soaking wet by the time I got to it. I brought it in, let it dry a little, opened it, and the rug and everything inside was soaked too. Not sure if I should 'thank' the maker or amazon or both for this poor shipping situation. I let the rug dry out and its now full of wrinkles and creases I need to get out. Otherwise, its a decent area rug. ... show more

Overall, I am very pleased with this rug. It looks and feels great in my living room. I have no idea how they can afford to sell it at this price point, but I'm not complaining. One note is that it took a while (several months) to fully flatten out, so be patient!
