I purchased this for my greenhouse and even though it did not work in that location I still really liked this space heater. It is compact and pumps a lot of heat really well. It does not, however, have a setpoint temperature control; instead there is a thermostat for hotter and cooler. If you want to target 18C (65F) then you will have trouble doing so with this device

For the money, this little heater really does a good job heating up a room quickly. It definitely can help with heating bills in winter; you can leave your overall heat lower, and keep the heater in the room you are in to keep you warm. I haven't used it yet with the heatless fan setting, but that option will come in handy in summertime for helping circulate air. I like the portability; there's a handle for carrying, which is nice because the front can get hot. It's very lightweight and easy to move around. The cons are fairly minor, considering how well it works for the low price, but I would mention that it isn't as quiet as I expected. If you're using it at night in a bedroom, the noise could be an advantage--it creates a white noise that might help you sleep. However, if you have it on in the living room and are trying to watch TV, it makes it hard to hear. Another minor con is the safety feature which turns it off in case of tip-over. For those with pets and/or young children, I could see how this might be handy. But for me, it's slightly annoying. There is a button underneath that triggers shutoff the moment the heater isn't perfectly level. This means that you can't set it on a surface that isn't 100% flat, and you can't slightly angle it to blow directly at something. Sure, it still spreads the heat throughout the room, but you can't direct the heat unless you have a flat surface exactly at the height you want. Overall, I would recommend this heater--it's a solid basic heater that puts out a good amount of heat. It does generate more white noise than I expected, and the safety feature prevents strategic angling, but if you are looking for basic and affordable, this is a good buy.

I got the black one and the reason for my 3 star review is that the knobs, heater and setting markings are the same color...it's black on black and I can't easily tell what setting the heater is set on. Also the heater is noisy. I have it under my desk at work and the noise is a bit distracting. It does heat...which is what I bought it for, but I would have bought the silver color or another brand of heater had I known the above.

I love these heaters. Granted, I’ve only had them a week so the only thing in question is their longevity. But the heater itself is great. Will definitely make any room toasty. I bought these to help me keep my electric bill down during the winter months since I’m always cold and keeping my heat on 80 (I know, don’t judge me) makes my bill over $200 a month for a one bedroom apt which is insane. Since buying these, I barely have to even turn on my heat and use these instead. They’re not large but they work great. I’d buy again.
