Really like this ac. It is much easier to install than other units I have had. The unit runs much quieter also. It keeps our large bedroom nice and cool. The new U bend design is nice.

Followed all installation instructions including allowing unit to sit upright 24 hours after anrriving and using the proper settings. Fan worked and I can hear the compressor run but the air blowing from the unit would never get cold (or even somewhat cool for that matter). Very disappointed to have to return this unit as it is a lot of work just to get it back out of the window and repackaged. I recommend against this purchase. Hummm. I've had this for about 6-7 months now and I like the way it sits in the window. What I don't like is it's noisy, loud hummm. Enough to where I have to turn up my TV. At times it sounds like it might die on me thinking hopefully I'll get another day out of it..LOL Does the job of cooling my 12x15' room and with these hot flashes, I need Artic Cool! So I'll sit right in front of it and OMG it feels so good...but, there is a weird oder coming out of it. Not sure what it is. Just a strange smell. I do know it was pooling water in the bottom so must be from that. I'm going to have to give it a bit of a lift and hopefully the drain is working properly to dump it. Cool design. Saves a lot of space. You don’t lost window visibility for the season. Much more attractive than a traditional window unit! Easy to install and cools a very large area. Now for the bad news. The air conditioner only releases condensate inside the house. So you have to place a bucket under the air conditioner to catch the water. And that definitely takes away from the attractive design. ... show more

Make sure you measure where it’s going. We did an upstairs apartment with a slopped roof and it would not fit in the window we wanted it to. Moved to another window and it did fit well. Takes two people to install it due to weight and awkwardness. Works good but not for a large room. Medium bedroom is where we have it. ... show more
