Followed all installation instructions including allowing unit to sit upright 24 hours after anrriving and using the proper settings. Fan worked and I can hear the compressor run but the air blowing from the unit would never get cold (or even somewhat cool for that matter). Very disappointed to have to return this unit as it is a lot of work just to get it back out of the window and repackaged. I recommend against this purchase. These are powerful and quiet air conditioners. The U-Shaped design is definitely the way to go for window units. Easy to install. We bought 2 of them. One arrived slightly damaged in one corner and then started making some annoying noises within week of operation. However, I reached out customer support and they were very helpful. Judy, with customer support, determined that the fan must have been damaged from shipping (which is what I was thinking, too), so they are sending a replacement. I would buy again and highly recommend these Window AC units, not only because they are great, but because of the proven customer support if something is wrong. ... show more

I would have given a better review but the unit arrived damaged. It was described as "used -mint". This is clearly not "mint". It was dropped somewhere before it made it to me. I had no air conditioning and paid someone $75 to install it, because I couldn't lift it. (I'm old with back issues) The temp was 105, so I let the guy install it. The dent is significant enough that it smashed the condenser fins. He liked it out when he took it out of the box. The facing inside is cracked. The design itself prevents adequate air flow to nearly half of the left vent. Right side blows great, but very little air flow from the left side. I am contacting Amazon to request a refund, hefty partial refund, or a physical replacement.. someone to install it and take the broken one back with them or dispose.. let someone take it off my curb.. There's no way I could manhandle this 66# dead weight back unto the box and to the UPS drop-off myself and I have no one else to do it for me. I do like the low profile design and the fact I can use more widow. It does cool and is very quiet. Less gaps than standard ACs. ... show more

    • Works well, but complicated to install
Does a good job cooling and has quite a few setting that come in handy. However, the main selling point of a window unit that sits low and straddles the window sill isn’t as great as it sounds. It’s also much louder than I expected. Yes, it’s nice not having as much of the window blocked by an AC unit, and you definitely don’t have any worries that it’s going to drop out the window. Those are big benefits. But getting the unit into position and having to piece together weatherstripping/foam board to block window openings was a real headache. The unit also weighs much more than a typical window unit and is harder to navigate since you have to lift over the sill and then drop it down. You also need a big window because you need enough clearance to negotiate the unit through and then down. If low profile and having the AC securely fastened around the sill are priorities, this is a good unit. But for the hassle it took to install, I will go with a regular in-window unit in the future. Also, make sure you measure before you buy. I have what I think is a normal-depth window sill, and the unit barely fit around it. ... show more

If your handy this A/C is for you. Quiet, cools well and after 30 days of use no fuss, it keeps up. Just be aware that if you live in the southern states you will have to remove the drain plug on the unit (Looking at the unit from the inside it's on the bottom left side) and place a hose or bucket under it for water removal. ... show more

    • Bad compressor, bad customer service
Didn’t think Id ever leave a bad review but Ive wasted so much money for bad experience, I bought this for my living room window, I imagined the installation would be the hardest process, once I got it up, it was downhill from there, the whole window and wall shakes, it’s quiet at times but once the compressor kicks in it starts shaking like crazy again, If that wasn’t enough the compressor stopped working after the 32nd day, conveniently right after the return window closed, customer support wont answer, and manufacturer sends you to leave a message and then says the mailbox is full. 400$ down the drain ... show more
