I have been doing CCTV installations for over 10 years, I usually use Anpviz cameras but with Dahua NVRs, this time I gave this nrw NVR a chance and man it was surprisingly good, the cameras are truly plug and play, no need to activate or configure any ip or dhcp, simply connect and enjoy. The quality and bandwith usage is better than any of the NVRs I have used in the past, super smooth and with virtually no frames lost. overall very impressive. ... show more

The NVR seems to be of decent quality but I'll never know its full capabilities because I haven't been able to access the operation menu. It was obviously an item that was returned by a previous purchaser. It asked for a password, I entered the default password and it notified me that the default password was incorrect and offered 4 more tries to get the password right. Tech help gave me instructions on how to change the password if I forgot it, but... I never entered a password so how could I have forgotten it? It's obvious that a previous purchaser had already changed the the default password to one of their liking then returned the item. Now it's on me to get the vendor to retrieve the password and offer a code so that I can enter my own password. If I had decided to jump that unexpected hurdle, I could never live with the cameras, which are definitely not 8MP resolution. I have some 8 years old 5MP cameras and I plugged one in to the NVR to find that it has a clearer image than the supposed 8MP cameras that came with this bundle. UGH. The purchase will be returned and the search continues for a product that is new in the box and that lives up to its published specifications (and, hopefully one that can be used as a true closed system without the Chinese knowing my password and email address). ... show more

The system itself isn't bad. Good video. The amount of apps on the phone and the cryptic error messages are annoying. The app keeps asking for codes but give a link to a useless web site. The process is a bit convoluted but I did get it working. This is my 6th system since 2009. They do keep getting better, but not simpler. ... show more

I have used many products of LTS, HIKIVISON, LAVIEW ... but the price is expensive. I bought and used the ANPVIZ 5mp ip camera, the quality is very good and the colors are very outstanding, it is compatible with the NVRs of the brands. other LTS, Hikvision, LAVIEW. Cheap products great quality.

This camera system is well worth the money. We shopped around and compared other camera systems and this system was provided us what we needed at a responsible cost. The cameras aren't crisp clear but clear enough, the sound and night vision is great. Very satisfied!
