I have a few of these from different makers. This one had the potential to be my favorite but it has two flaws. First the rubber feet don't stick out enough to grip the surface it's sitting on. Second, when you do set it flat the rotation adjustment screw sits too far down that it causes it to rock back and forth because it can't sit flat. Otherwise, attach it to a tripod or slider and it's great! 2021-0628 Updated. I just realized that the it will sit flat and will not slide if you adjust the 4 individual feet underneath it. The feet don't look adjustable but they will turn counter clock wise so they can make contact with whatever it's sitting on. Upgrading my rating from 4 star to 5 star. ... show more

I have a tripod that has a detachable leg to use as a monopod, the screw head is a 3/8x16 when detached. This mini ball head is just perfect for using with the monopod. No extra adjusters, just screws right on and is ready for use. The knob is big and easy to use, the ball movement is really good, and it tightens up really well. Nice little removable ball tripod head for lightweight or point and shoot style cameras. The level on the thumb knob is accurate, though useless for anything but leveling the base of the head when on an angle mount. Overall the construction is amazing, the anodizing is high quality, and the threads are smooth and well machined. If you need a lightweight head for a tripod for your point and shoots, or fast prime portrait cameras, this will do you just fine. (In my testing it failed to support any lense that extended beyond 80mm unless the lense used plastic optics) ... show more
