I'm reviewing the Annovero Plates and Bowls Sets for 4, Porcelain Dinnerware, Microwave Safe, 12 pieces, White. This set of porcelain dinnerware almost look like bone China, the pattern is very elegant. The dinner plate is 10 11/16" in diameter, the well of the plate is 8" diameter. The well and the lip of the plate is proportionate, the foot of the dinner plates are nicely done, smooth polish and not rough at all (so it won't scratch your table). The salad plate is 8 5/8" in diameter and the bowl is 6 1/16" in diameter. The reason why I removed 1 star was because 3 of my dinner plates each has 1 small pit on the well (I wished there wasn't any blemish), it would've been a perfect set. It would also be nice to be able to offer a complete set with large coffee cups. I'm used to seeing dinnerware sets that comes in a set of 16, 20, or for settings for 8. This is my first time coming across a place setting with 3 pcs only. ... show more

Lovely, ivory white dinnerware set for 4. I would consider these medium weight, not light weight, if that is a consideration for you. For instance, my heavy, square stoneware dinner plate weighs in at 1235g. This dinner plate is 829g. Compare that to another porcelain set I have where the dinner plate is 589g or our daily use Corelle glass plates that are only 355g. I plan to replace the stoneware set with this one. I love the design and the way these dishes look on the table, and plan to purchase another set so we’ll have service for 8. I really appreciate the set not coming with mugs. We prefer to use our eclectic mug collection rather than all matching so like not having to find the storage space. Packaging is excellent with foam and tape judiciously utilized. My box had a slight crinkle in one corner and none of the dishes were damaged in any way. I was really surprised by how substantial these dishes are. I guess I was expecting something lightweight and fragile like a ceramic set I already own, but these are much heavier and feel really durable, perfect for everyday use without worrying about chips or breaks. The color is beautiful. It’s just a touch off-white, probably best described as bone, which gives it a clean yet warm look. The pattern around the edges is really elegant and somehow managing to feel both retro and modern at the same time. These dishes work just as well for a casual grilled cheese lunch as they would for something fancy like a dinner party. One of my favorite things is that they’re dishwasher safe. That’s non-negotiable for me because handwashing dishes is one of my least favorite chores, and this set handles the dishwasher just fine. For the price, I’m honestly blown away by the quality. They look and feel like something that should cost twice as much.
