    • Good quality at a good price
I got an Annke security DVR system a few months back to replace a 2006 era Q-SEE wired camera system, and I recently got around to installing it. The old system was a 4 camera one, and the new Annke system is an 8 camera system, but the model I ordered shipped with 4 cameras. I had planned to simply use my old cameras with the new system to fill in the remaining slots. However, after seeing the MASSIVE improvement in video quality, night vision quality (IR illumination), and an number of other factors, I decided to order 4 more matching cameras to upgrade to all 8 HD cameras. I didn't spend a ton to get a 4k system, but I am still quite impressed with the quality of the HD cameras (1920x1080). I can easily zoom in and read license plates, get good facial views on people, and see smaller details on animals, day or night. It's a huge improvement over the 960x480 system I had before, and for the price point, I'm very satisfied. I didn't have to swap out any wiring to replace my old cameras, and it was straightforward to wire up the new ones. So far, I'm impressed with the performance (and the DVR is SILENT, especially compared to my old one!) ... show more

    • Fantastic camera for a great price!
Was more than pleased when I purchased it. Decided to purchase 3 more and the ANKE DVR 8 channel. These work as good as the cameras I originally had that were 3 times the price. Heavy rain, wind, and snow and still works like new.

The only thing I don't like is the way you adjust the camera head ... thus the 4-star rating! Way better than what I had. Wider angle of view and very clear and excellent night vision ... almost like there is a light on! Update > to the customer that gave it a 1 star review because they said the image were not IN COLOR ... they are WRONG!!! What I noticed is at dusk they go into a light absorbing image thru the night that aperies to be B&W thus you can see as if there was a light on!!! In day light hours the color is very vivid, and you can also adjust the color and intensity of each camera! ... show more

These replacement cameras are simple construction, lightweight and compact. It does provide a picture perfect imaging. Let’s hope it lasts for more than a few years.

    • The night vision stopped in 24 hours
Plugged it in it ran for a good 24 hours and the night vision disappeared pitch black out there. These things are junk. Do not trust your life to these cameras.

    • Inexpensive camera that works, uses BNC connection
Better than I expected. Some of the really inexpensive cameras, (like the ones from #-F), have night viewing and infrared that never works. This one gives a nice clear picture in daylight or at night. Delivers everything I wanted for a reasonable price.
