Finally, a power strip that fits behind furniture and doesn't hog every other outlet

I picked this up to deal with a cluster of chargers and devices behind my desk, and it's solved two problems at once: not enough outlets, and every outlet being too close together for bulky plugs. This one gets both right. What's worked well: The wide-spaced AC outlets are the actual game-changer. I can plug in a couple of larger power adapters right next to each other without one blocking the slot beside it — something that trips up almost every basic power strip I've owned. 20W USB-C fast charging is legit. My phone charges quickly off the USB-C port without needing a separate wall adapter taking up space, which is exactly the point of a station like this. Ultra-thin, low-profile design. At just over an inch thick, it sits flush and stable — doesn't wobble or feel like it's about to tip off the edge of a desk or nightstand. Six outlets plus four USB ports is genuinely enough capacity. Between a lamp, monitor, laptop charger, and a couple of phones/earbuds, I stopped running out of places to plug things in. 300-joule surge protection gives real peace of mind. It's not something you think about daily, but knowing it's there if there's ever a power spike is worth a lot for the price of the unit. One thing to know going in: the USB-C ports share power output when used together, so if you're charging multiple fast-charging devices at once, don't expect max speed on all of them simultaneously — that's just how shared-wattage strips work, not a flaw specific to this one. Also worth noting it's not meant for laptop charging via USB-C, so keep your laptop on its own brick. For a desk setup, dorm room, or bedside station where outlet space and charging speed both matter, this hits a really practical sweet spot. Perfect for a Wall-Mounted TV Setup

I purchased this Anker outlet extender for my parents to use behind the TV they recently had mounted on the wall, and it worked out perfectly. The slim profile is exactly what we needed since it sits nicely behind the TV without sticking out or getting in the way. It added plenty of extra outlets for their streaming device, soundbar, and a few other accessories, so everything could be plugged in without needing multiple power strips or extension cords. The built-in surge protection also provides some extra peace of mind for their electronics. Like the other Anker products I’ve owned, the build quality is excellent, and installation couldn’t have been easier. If you need a low-profile outlet extender for a wall-mounted TV or entertainment center, I highly recommend this one. Best design yet

These things are great! I especially like them because they can fit wider plugs like phone charging plugd. Compared to others I looked at nothing beats the price, looks, or functionality of these. I also love the way the usb ports come out from the bottom rather than the side making it easier to mount behind the couch without sticking out to far. Great extender. Plenty of Outlets and USB Ports Without Taking Up Much Space

This has been really convenient for keeping several devices plugged in and charged in one place. Having six regular outlets along with USB-A and USB-C ports means I don't need a bunch of separate charging adapters. The layout gives enough room for multiple plugs, and I like having USB-C built in for my newer devices. It feels sturdy and well made, which is what I've come to expect from Anker products. Overall good power strip, with a few small problems

Overall it's a pretty good power strip. The outlets are positioned so that you can fit three moderately sized power supplies on each side (though only two of the really obnoxiously large wall warts), and it has two USB-A and two USB-C jacks. It also looks really nice, with sleek angled sides that don't stick out too far from the wall. One big advantage that it has is the support pin is removable. Most outlet extenders have a fixed support pin and thus won't work in a GFCI outlet (which have very slightly larger distance between ground pins), but this one allows you to easily remove that pin for non-standard outlets. There are a few small issues. The picture makes it look like there's a screw hole in the middle, but that is just an LED; you cannot permanently attach this to an outlet like most extenders. That means you can end up yanking the whole thing out if a plug gets stuck. In addition, the USB ports are on the bottom, and since most outlets are fairly low on the wall, that means you can't see the ports to plug in. The first USB-C port can put out up to 12V/20W, but only if you don't plug anything else in; the second USB-C port can only handle 5V/15W, while the USB-A ports support a maximum of 12W. If you use two or more ports at the same time, they have a combined 15W maximum, or just 12W combined for the two USB-A ports. This means charging two phones is going to be super slow. It offers 300 Joules of surge protection, which really isn't much but it's better than nothing; good surge protectors can offer over 2,000 J of protection, so I wouldn't recommend this for your expensive computer, high-fi or home theater system. ... show more

Very nice design

Really liked the "slimer" design, as it doesn't protrude from the wall as much as others brands. It works as intended. I find Anker products to be a great value and excellent quality. Installation is easy peasy, having it retained with a screw, secures it nicely.

I picked up the Anker Outlet Extender mainly to solve a constant problem—never having enough outlets—and it honestly delivers better than expected. The good: This thing is a space-saver. Instead of juggling multiple power strips, it neatly expands a single wall outlet into 6 AC outlets plus USB-A and USB-C ports. The layout is smart too—there’s enough spacing between plugs that bulky adapters don’t block each other (which is a huge win). The built-in USB-C fast charging is super convenient for phones and smaller devices, so I’ve been able to ditch a couple of charging bricks. Performance: Everything charges reliably, and the 20W USB-C port is fast enough for everyday use like topping up a phone or tablet.
