This chair has an unupholstered board at the junction of the seat and back. When the chair goes into the recline position, the board hits you in the back. I had to insert a rolled towel between the back and seat to pad this area. The only reason I did not return the chair is that my reading light scorched the upholstery, otherwise I would have returned it. In addition, a huge production failure is the connection between the motor and the hand control. The connecting cable is far too short. The connections between the chair mechanism and the hand control cables are tenuous at best. There is no latching mechanism to keep the connection secure. We had to duct tape the cable connection to make as secure as we could. Having had the unnerving experience of having the connection come apart at 1:30 AM, I did not want to go through that again. Fortunately, I had my adult grandson available to rescue me and repair the problem. If I had the option to buy again, I would not and I cannot recommend this chair to anyone with confidence.

My parents got their chair a week early then was promised. Easy to assemble. Only thing lacking was that it was not a wall saver, but a very nice chair for the money. Slow, moving for easy standing.

Very nice lift chair - it's functional, comfortable and attractive. I would have given 5 stars but a couple of things prevented me from doing so: - The chair gets a bit shaky when its in a significant lift position. - My biggest complaint is with the lift control. Despite having a remote for the massage and heat functions, the up/down lift (the reason to buy the chair in the first place) control is flush tucked up under the armrest. You have to grope to find it and then hope you chose the right direction.
