The motor feels strong right out of the box. It spins at 9000 RPM and cuts through metal pretty quick without bogging down, which is what you want when you're doing actual work. The cutting speed is decent. I used it on some rebar and steel plates and it handled both without any issues. The blade bites in smoothly and doesn't feel like it's struggling. That's the brushless motor doing its job I guess, because it stays cool even after running it for a while. Swapping discs takes maybe 30 seconds with the spindle lock. You just use the wrench they give you and it's done. Comes with two grinding discs so you can get started right away without hunting down extra wheels. Vibration was my main concern going in but it's not bad at all. The grip is rubberized and doesn't slip, and the side handle really helps keep things steady. I used it one handed for some detail work and it didn't shake my arm to death like some angle grinders do. Safety stuff seems legit. The guard keeps debris off you, there's a lock on switch so you're not accidentally triggering it, and it won't restart if power cuts out suddenly. That matters when you're working around other people. Only thing is you need a compatible battery which I already had. It works fine with the 3.0Ah battery I had lying around. Overall this is a solid tool that does what it's supposed to do without any drama.

I tend to bounce between small repairs, light metal work, and the kind of “clean it up and make it look finished” tasks that come with living in a house. This cordless angle grinder has been a good fit for that style of work. I don’t have to set up an extension cord or worry about where I’m standing. I just grab it, carry it to the project, and start working. That convenience makes it feel more like a normal part of the workflow instead of a big production. One thing I didn’t expect to use so much is the rotating head. When I’m working near an edge, inside a tight space, or against a surface where the tool body would normally get in the way, rotating the head helps me line things up. It’s also easier on my arms because I’m not forcing my wrist into one position for the entire job. The handle can be repositioned, so I can switch between a more controlled grip for careful work and a more supportive grip when I’m making longer passes.

This grinder has been a decent addition to my tool pile, mostly because it handles odd angles better than the corded one I usually reach for. I do small repair work and sometimes I’m stuck working along a fence panel, under a cart, or around a bracket where my hands don’t have much room. The rotating head makes those situations less annoying because I can line the tool up with the work instead of bending my wrists. I’ve used the different speed options depending on the task—slower when I’m trying to be careful, faster when I’m removing material. The lock-on style switch helps during longer passes, since I’m not squeezing the whole time. Between the included case and the pile of wheels and sanding pieces, I’ve had what I needed for basic metal cleanup and light polishing without making another order.
