  • Great Quality
I use this with a 4,300psi pressure washer with a long wand. I use it for removing paint and rust off metal fencing, vehicles, tools, and various farm implements. It works great, one thing to note is to point the sand hose upwards on the wand end so that the water cannot drip back down into the sand hose. I recently sprayed an entire spiral staircase in less than 4 hours saving days of work with a grinder, my back, and the finish left is much more uniform than I would have gotten with a grinder. For vehicles, you can use outdoor 3m painting tape and angle the water away from the tape to sandblast panels or entire vehicles. The strength of the pressure washer used makes a huge difference in how well it works. The bigger the compressor, the more sand it can pull at a time, and the harder it's going to hit the surface when sprayed. I don't think I would want to bother with this tool if my pressure washer was any smaller. I've owned and used a few of these over the years and this one is better quality than the other brands I've tried. I have yet to have a single nozzle clog. 10/10 ... show more

  • Not worth the time dealing with clogs.
Very poor results overall and not worth the time messing with it or price paid. I used with various pressure washers and media and it clogs a lot. Maybe if there were some kind of one way moisture check valve that could be added to the media line it would reduce the amount of moisture that gets trapped? I used medium grit Black Diamond media (sort of pricey now), play sand, Quickrete fine and medium sand. All worked for a little while and then clogged. I had the best results with a Master Craft 3000 psi washer at 2.5 gpm. That was honestly way to aggressive when the media stated blowing. I did get it to work briefly with a 2200 psi electric also that would actually be more ideal for body sheet metal and aluminum or magnesium parts. Lowes and Home Depot were out of the pool filter sand so was not able to try that. I pointed the intake to the top like suggested on the blast wand, didn't seem to help either. Overall i have my doubts and i don't think anyone could honestly say this is a reliable go to solution. If anyone has figured out a reliable configuration i would love to hear it. ... show more

  • Kinda works with some adjustments
Sand blaster kinda works but it’s got a couple challenges 1 clogs often at the nozzle from larger grains. sifting to a fine size should fix that, we used play sand and it was still an issue 2 water draining back into the siphon causes the sand to get wet and clog inside the siphon tube. Needless to say the sand in your bucket must be super dry too and stay dry It uses an enormous amount of sand but works very well… when it’s working, it doesn’t run/ operate smoothly for very long in our experience but I think under the right set of circumstances it may work well especially for small areas. It also makes an absolute mess getting very very fine sand EVERYWHERE ... show more

  • A bit finicky
I used this with an older 3000psi washer and had to change out all the hardware connectors to use this. There really isn't much to it other than the wand, hose, clamps and pickup tube. The first few times I tried it I just used play sand it plugged the feed tube. I ended up screening to remove anything larger than a sand grain and it began to feed.... but then plugged up. I had sun dried to sand on a tarp and apparently that was not good enough. I had to really make sure the sand was dry, dry, dry...... and dry some more to get it to feed. Even then it would feed, stop, feed, stop and you could feel it when it did either. When it was feeding it removed paint and rust from my old Jeep frame, but most times it didn't feed consistently. I'm sure it was because of my sand. I'm going to try soda next and see if that is any better. ... show more

  • Excellent!
I thought this would be cheap garbage for the price but it's heavy duty steel. It worked perfect no clogging of the hose. It does use up a lot of sand and you can't adjust that but I think there is a way to modify it. If less sand comes out I think it will come out even faster. I'm just using sand you get from a rock plant, it's not clean sand but very dirty, but 2 bucks for 5 gallons. As is does the job great but If you can tune it to your pressure washer you can have something like the professionals have. ... show more

  • Good for light work. For heavy work, not so much
I have mixed feelings about this Sand Blaster. I am using a 3300 PSI Power Washer and sand from a Big Box Store. I dried the sand using a old Turkey Frier to remove all the moisture. Sand flowed well during use. The blaster removed dirt well, removed rust from unpainted surfaces OK. Blaster did not remove any paint from the mower deck I was working on. Now it might be because of the media I was using but anything more coarse would damage most metal surfaces. So for light work, this blaster did good. For Heavy work, not so much. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Didn't think this product was going to be any more than a gimmick honestly. Was pleasantly surprised how effective it was it quickly stripping off decades of rust from an antique drill press I picked up to restore. I used inexpensive black diamond sandblast media from tractor supply that cost somewhere around $12 for a 50 lb bag. This media was a little bit too course for the nozzle size so I didn't get consistent flow but it was a good enough to take care of this job in about 15 minutes. Next time I use it I will try quikrete mortar sand from home Depot which is also cheap but it has a slightly smaller grain size. Totally worth purchasing as long as you have an area you don't mind getting covered with whatever you're using as an abrasive. The system does make quite a mess but so would air driven sound blasters. ... show more

  • Doesn't work well.
The clamps thay come with it are not great. The setup only pulls a very small amount of vacuum, so it barely picks up any sand. Clogs very easily. Not worth the money, just save up and buy a traditional sandblaster or rent one.
