This is a 15 mil tarp, which puts it on the heavy duty side of the tarp durability rating. It is clear to let light pass through so it would be good for any application where you would want wind and rain protection, but without blocking out the sun. It also provides UV protection. You could still use it for any application where you would want to use a regular tarp. The corners are reinforced and the edges are doubled over to provide extra strength for the grommets so that they will not tear out easily. There is a also a high strength webbing material making up the back bone structure that adds to it durability, making it extremely tear resistant. This is a well constructed tarp. I learned a lot time ago that cheap low mil tarps are a waste of money, they shred quickly and the grommets put very easily. Go with the heavy duty tarp and it will serve you well for a long time.

I put this on now to show what it looks like, but I'll be using it in the winter. It's pretty substantial at 16 mil. thick and has enough grommets evenly spaced that it will be easy to attach to the half rounded wire and rebar. Much cheaper than buying a greenhouse. I'm excited to try it. As another reviewer stated the dimensions advertised are not exactly what you get. That would have made me angry had I built everything to attach the tarp and then received it. I'd suggest you wait for delivery before setting things up. It allows light, but not water through it so I'll have to ensure my raised bed gets water. Otherwise, I can see how it will help me extend my garden season. I realize the pic is terrible and nothing is tied down, but hopefully it gives you an idea or what it looks like.

Need to patch an area of the greenhouse roof that was punctured by a tree limb that fell. This tarp is perfect for what I need and so far has done the trick. I stretched it out over a picnic table first to get a good look at it and see how well it will let light in. The rest of the greenhouse is covered by a greenish tarp that gives an odd color, but this tarp just lets the pure light through. Very durable material and easy to move around, it wasn't super stiff like most tarps. Could definitely be used for many different applications. I absolutely love it though. The eyeholes are reinforced and quite sturdy. Worth every penny!

The media could not be loaded. The dimensions are slightly off, but are made up in the overage with regards to the width in comparison to the length. However, I cannot discount the fact that the measurement is still not correct. It's my pet peeve for false advertising of a product's characteristics, esp the advertised dimensions. With that being stated, the product's overall quality is quite impressive. It is mostly transparent, except for the inner grid work of twine layered between two plastic sheets. Not only does this framework provide a more durable construction, this feature can create a shelter from the elements that allows the sun to penetrate for grass to grow. This is especially important for dogs that must go potty in the rain. It's not feasible to outfit 10 different foster dogs that have trust issues with rain coats and walk them individually bc they're scared of the rain. It's easier to convince them to quickly potty underneath a "sheltered" area before getting back to "safety". The size choices offer a refuge of hope for the fur babies up for grabs.
