I just got done installing it, and the installation went about as easily as could be expected. The instructions are ok, but a few things were left off (AM and FM antenna connections - there's only 1 for 2 connections. I mostly use AM so I connected what I assume was the AM antenna connection and when tested, but worked just fine.) There was one cable bundle from the car that didn't fit anywhere, so I assume that was the CD player so it wasn't needed. I'll find out later if there's anything wrong. Everything else connected pretty easily and intuitively. I haven't installed the rear camera yet, I'll update this once that is completed. But for a 1 hour install and a five minute test - works good so far. Update (9/11/2024) There have been a few times where the radio is unresponsive. The radio is playing, but it doesn't respond to any icon and/or button touches. The steering wheel buttons work, just not the screen interface. I have to actually shut my Jeep off and restart it to get the radio to work again. Another thing is the night mode for the map never switches over. At night, the map is extremely bright so I have to turn it off or go to the radio. If you try to adjust the sound to different speakers (more to the back speakers for example), it doesn't. Finally, there is almost no bass in music. Even using the built in equalizer to boost the lower sounds doesn't work. Overall, I'm still glad I have it, but it's far from ideal if you want serious sound from it.

The unit fit well in the existing cavity. The equipment to install were provided. There were two schematics provided, they were different! Could never get back up camera to work. Radio output very weak or none.

This is a fantastic way to bring new technology to your Jeep Patriot Compass! The instructions are fantastic and include details on using the apps, etc. With the detailed installation guide and wiring diagram you should be able to be up and running very quickly with your new system. One of the best parts of this system is the inclusion of the backup camera. This is a fantastic safety device! Overall, this is a really nice system and I highly recommend it!

Overall, I am happy with this product. I do think that it is priced a bit too high compared to other comparable radios. I have loved the performance of this product so far. It took me about thirty minutes to install into my jeep patriot. It fits pretty well although there is a little bit of a gap between the plastic radio shell and the car. The screen is HUGE and makes using GPS so much easier on long trips! It also pairs very easily with my phone, when I enter my car it automatically syncs up to the car and I don't need to initiate anything myself. I can use voice commands to send texts and other similar actions with ease. There have been a few times where I have had issues with the audio not playing and my phone not connecting, but they usually resolved after a few more uses. The audio does sound even better than the stock xm/fm radio. I am very happy to have this newer modern display in my car and I like the quality of the user interface as a whole.
