  • The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
Size: Wireless Android Auto Adapter
The Good, the Bad, the Ugly Good: solid construction, compact size, braided cable. Super easy NFC pairing and worked almost perfectly in a Hyundai Kona paired to a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL... Bad: "Almost perfectly" in that when using this device, Android Auto never actually started automatically onscreen as it was configured to when first starting the vehicle -- you had to manually launch it every single time. This behavior is unlike our experiences with other wireless Android Auto dongles, including the ubiquitous Motorola MA-1. So it appears that an extra step is required to use this product. Additionally, any attempt to update the firmware exactly following the process described in the instructions proved futile. Also concerning was the absence of a hard reset button. Ugly: While my okay experience with a Google Pixel has been discuss above, a very different experience emerged while using a Samsung Flip 6. I could not ever get it paired with NFC, but Bluetooth pairing was uneventful... until that pairing occurred over and over. And over. And over again. Which is to say that the dongle lost Bluetooth connection repeatedly (and resume it just as quickly) only to lose it again. So frequently as to render the overall Android Auto experience utterly unusable on even a short trip. As a result, my Pixel use is rated at 4-stars while using a Flip takes that rating down to 0 stars. Add a star for being inexpensive to the average of 2 stars. Result: 3 stars, and that's beimg generous. ... show more

  • Connects well to first device, but won't hot-swap Connects well to first device, but won't hot-swap
Size: Wireless Android Auto Adapter
The special feature of this device vs. the smaller bluetooth adapters (or bluetooth built into the car) is that it uses Near Field Communication (NFC) where you tap your phone against the device for it to recognize which device it should pair with. You have to make sure that this feature is available on your phone, and turned on. The included instructions are fairly well written for this process. For our 2017 Chevy bolt, I also had to disconnect the Bluetooth connection with the car in order to get the device to pair with my phone. It paired fairly quickly after that. I also had to manually go into the car menu to select my phone as the source. We were hoping this device would allow us to hot-swap which phone was paired with the device, imagining that whoever was the current driver would just get in the driver seat, tap their phone, and go. This has not worked at all. We have tried an awful lot of things at this point, and the main problem seems to be that the device just doesn't want to un-pair with your phone once paired. We can un-pair the device from the phone menu, but the device refuses to pair with a new phone for days at a time, until finally it decides that the old one isn't coming back. Then suddenly it will pair a new phone on the first touch. The instruction manual has nothing to say on this topic, so I guess it just isn't a supported use pattern. For a single phone, it works ok. Usually after turning the car on it will start Android Auto within a minute or two. Sometimes I have to select the source in the menu of the car. This is probably a bug in the car, since sometimes even hardwired connections have this problem. We prefer to use this device for the 2017 Bolt because built-in bluetooth can't do navigation, and the hardwired connection tends to drop when we hit potholes. It could be that newer cars handle swapping phones better. ... show more

  • mostly convenient
Size: Wireless Android Auto Adapter
I recently purchased the PAGEPINMU Android AUTO Wireless Adapter, and it's a straightforward and durable solution for connecting my phon. The frame and construction give it a solid feel that should last. Setting it up was a breeze - the NFC pairing feature made connecting my phone quick and painless. Once paired, it automatically connects every time I start my car, which is super convenient. I no longer have to fumble with cables to use Android Auto. However, there are a couple of drawbacks I've noticed. The included USB cable for charging is too short for my car's layout, which limits its usefulness. Also, when using it wirelessly, I've noticed increased battery drain on my smartphone. For longer trips, I still find myself using a wired connection to keep my phone charged. Despite these minor issues, I appreciate the ease of use and wireless convenience this adapter provides. It's definitely enhanced my in-car Android Auto experience, making it more seamless and enjoyable overall. ... show more

  • Good Solution
Size: Wireless Android Auto Adapter
I have a 2024 VW GTI 380, and it didn't come with wireless Android Auto (go figure). I also have a 2017 MK 7 GTI with the same issue. I have to have the phone plugged into the car in order to use AA. Ugh. The problem I have with plugging my phone in for AA is that once the phone battery reaches 88% I want to unplug it. I'm only going to use AA for a short period of time once the phone is charged up, so why bother with it? I never charge my phone over 88% because it kills the battery over time. Constant charge is just battery abuse. This little dongle is the solution. Pairing is the same as pairing any other device to phone Bluetooth. It connects and stays connected. The extra step is that you have to disconnect your phone from any Wi-Fi and leave it open for the dongle to connect to. That's it. After that, it connects automatically when I get in the car. I'm impressed with the performance - Very little lag, no frustrations that I've encountered so far, and audio quality is good. My only gripe is that once you get out of the car AA keeps trying to stay connected. AA sends multiple notifications to my phone after I'm out of the car about trying to connect. That really gets on my nerves. Maybe turning off notifications for AA would be the solution, but I don't know how that would effect text messages etc., so I'm holding off on that for now. But, that doesn't deter me from using the dongle, so it's a small trade-off. I really like this thing. I'm going to keep using it. ... show more

  • Seamless Wireless Android Auto – Flawless Performance!
Size: Wireless Android Auto Adapter
This device is easy to set up with NFC, and it works flawlessly with my Pixel 6 Pro. It automatically connects and launches Android Auto on the in-car display as soon as you get in the car. This is amazing as I've tested several other Wireless options (which usually also include Apple CarPlay connections) that dont auto-connect. Or you have to manually switch the receiver unit to AndroidAuto. This was frustrating as I dont have any Apple devices I would use for CarPlay connections. So I decided to find an "AndroidAuto ONLY" wireless unit. Glad I found this one! The build is solid, and it's compact. It’s a great option for those looking to go wireless with Android Auto. I love how small and low profile it is. It tucks away nicely out of the way, and with the included double-back tape, you can mount this anywhere. Overall, it’s a reliable and convenient product that does exactly what it promises. 5 stars. ... show more

  • Easy to setup and use
Size: Wireless Android Auto Adapter
I like the wireless capability that I now have for Android auto in my 2019 Ford Escape. Just a few seconds after I get in my car it connects automatically. Gave it 4 stars as I do notice that sometimes when first connecting, it connects more than once. I don't know if it drops it and then reconnects. Not a big issue though. I love that I can use google maps and get to my apps like amazon music using my voice or touch screen on my car without having to plug my phone into the usb port. It also comes with a usb-A to C adapter if you need that. ... show more

  • So far, so good
Size: Wireless Android Auto Adapter
The product has a good weight to it that makes it feel high quality, but not inconveniently heavy. Easy to install and get working. Paired with my Samsung Z Flip 6 and Android Auto works with my 2021 vehicle seamlessly. No more needing to plug in my phone to my car, it pairs automatically and gets media going when you're in proximity for Bluetooth. Would recommend. ... show more

  • NFC is nice for initial connection
Size: Wireless Android Auto Adapter
This is my third of these units. I do so prefer having Android Auto be wireless. I got this one for use in rental cars as I travel, as only some of them have wireless capability. In putting this unit through the paces, it hooked up easily to my phone and did the wireless interface seamlessly. Looking forward to having it in my bag. ... show more
