Excellent all around product! Used it to add 29 handles and 10 pulls to cabinetry I was refinishing that did not have hardware. Easy to adjust the placement of the drill guides and read the ruler. The tool feels well made and produced consistent results. The included punch also performed well.

I recently built a new home and ordered iron valley cabinet knobs and handles. They are great looking wrought iron handles but I think they were hand made because the holes weren't exactly centered. If I used the jig for both holes they would not be leveI so I ended up having to do a custom installation myself so they would be straight. This hardware jig did a great job of exactly locating one end of the handle. Then I installed a screw loosely to hold it in place so it could pivot and used a sharpened cutoff nail in the other hole of the handle. Then after ensuring the handle is level, I pressed the nail in to mark the other hole to drill. It worked like a charm all though it was a little time consuming. The hardware looks great! I'm sure that anyone not needing to custom install their hardware can zip through the installation using this hardware jig. I think it is a must have tool if you're doing cabinets. ... show more

Well made and easy to set up and use. A must have for cabinet hardware. Takes a little bit of time and patience to set up but its worth it if doing many cabinet doors or drawers. After set up drilling the holes is fast.

We did our kitchen and bathroom cabinets ourselves and this worked just as well or better than any more expensive tool. For the large cabinet drawers with the handle in the middle it can be a bit tricky but for the cupboard doors it works great.

I’ll start by saying this tool does make cabinet hardware installation easier. The quality is not bad; the concept is good. However… It still leaves the user to do all the critical math and measuring, which a few design tweaks could have easily eliminated. For example, even though there’s a finite number of standard cabinet hardware measurements—3”, 4”, 5” screw spacing, etc.—you’re left to set that spacing yourself, after doing the math to find your own centers and/or offsets. Sure, I know there are countless options for which this tool has to account. But if the graduations allowed you to simply set drawer width and divide in half to find a center, or perhaps if it had fixed spacing jigs for standard hardware sizes, it’d be infinitely better. As other reviewers have noted, the tool is limited in its width for installing hardware on drawers wider (or doors taller) than 24-27”. For the price, it’s about what I expected. Not great but not horrible. I’ll use it but continue spending lots of time double-checking spacings and centering before taking a drill to a customer’s cabinet. ... show more

We just redid our kitchen. We are DIY type people as far as we can take it. I was super nervous about messing up our cabinet fronts installing hardware because we had never done that before and cabinet fronts are expensive. This thing made life so easy! We were able to do our entire kitchen in a couple of hours. We only messed up one time, but that was my fault…not the jig. We installed 5”, 7” and 8.8” cabinet pulls on different sized doors and drawers with this…you just have to make your measurement adjustments and tighten them. We did all the 5” cabinets right side doors, then left side…moved on to drawers then would adjust for different pull sizes. This is cheap enough for anyone to at least try out and it was a 1000% success for us! I am so thankful for the person who invented stuff like this. ... show more
