  • LOTS OF ANNOYING LITTLE THINGS
Color: Silver
Good value for the money, at least on paper, but lots of little things add up fast. Battery life sucks. I tried turning down the screen intensity, which helped, and turned on the battery saving protocols, which didn't do much. Even after turning off bluetooth and wifi, something is draining the battery whether you use it or not, and it needs to be recharged once or twice a day. Switching between apps, it acts like it's going through a reboot. Takes forever, and sometimes it freezes and you do have to restart it. Same thing to a lesser degree when you wake it up. (I suspect bloatware running in the background, which would help explain the battery, but I'm not technical enough to know.) Size is odd enough that there are no standard folios that'll fit it . . . so you're stuck with one of the generics that fits badly and ruins the feel. Finally gave up on this thing. Got a lenovo tab M8 with a fintie folio for about $20 more, and couldn't be happier. ... show more

  • Good tablet but has limitations
This tablet is generally great however it does not have enough bandwidth to do live streaming from Artists Network. However it works fine for movie streaming. Has a lot of junk with it that has to be cleaned off. And one cannot pin or shortcut a website to the Desktop. Which is really annoying. There is some weird scrolling website links that have nothing to do with what you want and you cannot stop the endless scroll. Other than the initial aggravations in cleaning it up and figuring out the limitations, the screen is clear and bright and generally functions with no problems. ... show more

  • Good for general light use.
Color: Black
Screen clarity and aspect ratio is very nice. The weight of the tablet as it felt in hand is slightly more than I expected. There is a little bit of lag between clicking (a button or icon) and performing the task or loading the page required by the click, but not very annoying. Normal videos in YouTube play good and continuous (except for the lag in the start I remarked above). My biggest disappointment, though, is that the response to the active stylus in annotating PDF documents or handwriting notes is very bad (I have tried four different pens). Battery discharge is average - acceptable. Playing games , or watching 4K videos is out of my use for the tablet. Considering its price; my assessment is that it is a good value. I would have given it 4 stars if not for the bad responsiveness to active stylus pens. ... show more

  • Good customer service.
Color: Silver
I give it 5 stars bc this particular 7.5" format is perfect for book reading, music, movies - especially when traveling. And it is an Android 12 Go, so you are not tied-in to a specific book reader etc.... So 5 Stars. That said, it is somewhat slow and comes with 2 Gb RAM (not 2+2Gb). I would encourage TJD to make an upgrade version - more RAM and faster processor! But please keep this great 7.5" format. Also include a folio case - since this is fairly unique size tablet. You would definitely have me buying it again - for a plus $100 range!!! Thank you TJD. ... show more

  • Time travel, but in a bad way
Color: Gray
Remember when you had dial up internet? When everything involving technology took forever and nothing was good? If you buy this cheap tablet, you’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time to the good ol’ days of crappy tech. When I first turned it on, it had this cute little picture of a dead robot with an exclamation point coming out if it’s tummy. Like a care bear but in the Upside Down. “No command”, it said. Uhm. “Turn on?” I said. Reboot. Now there’s a flashy screen with a slogan that doesn’t match its own dang acronym. “Technology Good Life” or something with the letters TJC … ok, not a great sign but let’s see what happens. Each setup screen lags for several minutes but I get through it fine (I’m just using it for some home automation apps and music, so I didn’t ask it to sync up with any accounts; thought that would make it faster but that dead-ass robot from the beginning was still hangin around I guess.) Fast forward about 20 minutes and it has powered up and seems fine. So I heft this door stopper up (seriously are they trying to imply quality by making it weigh a few pounds???) and tap the Play Store icon. And then I tap it again. And again. Nothing. Starting to feel like a fumbling preteen, but I just keep whackin that little button to no avail. Ok, reboot. Ye Olde Reboote always does the trick, right? Right? God? Are you there? It’s me. The dummy who thought buying this cheap paperweight and pretending it could load an app was a good idea. Help? Ok so it reboots and the play store opens and I look for my silly light bulb app, now seriously reconsidering my oh so clever idea to have a tablet that guests can use to play music and dim the lights, rather than needing my phone to be present in order to have some ambience. First.World.Problems. I know. This is silly. But now I’m in it, so I keep going. The app has installed (15 minutes later. And before you ask, I have 2GB fiber optic internet, so it’s not my wifi at fault here.) Everything in the app technically works, but the lag time on each command is retro, to put it nicely. The screen kind of flutters, like it’s so nervous about doing a good job. Then it shows a little flash of what I’ve asked it to load, but just for a second. Back to the last screen. Another flash. Uhm. Ok, so I press the button again… more flutters and flashes, and then it loads. So I guess this thing “works”… but it’s kind of like that coworker who “just literally can’t” with coming in to work, and joins every meeting from bed, wearing a tuxedo T-shirt, some generic office background filter applied but you keep seeing glitchy bits of their pillow and their cat’s paw because it’s laying on said pillow. This tablet is like that coworker. So it’s fine. I’m going to give it exactly two tasks and it will do both with solid mediocrity. I hope you enjoyed my story. Don’t buy this tablet. You’re better than this. You deserve things that work. Technology should make things easier, not more annoying. Android is trash. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. ... show more

  • Fine tablet
Color: Silver
This is a great little tablet for the money. The main drawback is the battery life. I like the size and shape.

  • Takes long to start up and doesn't hold charge for more than a couple of hours
Color: Gray
What my main dislike is today is that it is only used a few hours per week, is only about 8 months old and will not work today. I took it off charge this morning and it keeps cycling through the startup screens and then the screen goes black. Not at all satisfied,

  • Best 4:3 Android tablet in 2022
Color: Gray
I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw this tablet, but this tablet is perfect for reading manga and ebooks. Perfect size, aspect ratio, and the price is right for the memory and Android version. The only drawback is the short battery life, but that can be addressed in a future version. It's a good deal at $95 for Android 12 and 64GB storage, but if the listing has a coupon like my purchase did, buy it. ... show more
