Worth the money spend - out first order arrived promptly and we put the set to use right away. On the second use the edger clippers (smaller ones) stopped working?? after some round about, back and fourth with Amazon as is normally the case for items needing to be returned we got a new set. Over all these are VERY good clippers two of our barber friends approved of the brand and also said they are a good caliber of clipper. They are very both precise and forgiving.. love the “1-1/2” and Zero number clippers makes for a nice clean fade ... show more

I've owned this set for about 18 months. I cut my own hair about once every 2-3 weeks. First the large clippers - a little bulk to hold, but the gripper ridges on the handle make it easier. The guards are plastic and I would rate them as poor to acceptable. I have used both the 1, 2, and 3 guards. it tends to do a better job for the longer lengths. For the shorter lengths I find that I get relatively uneven cuts in various places, and I have to spend lots of extra time going over spots again and again to get it well cut. I would not attribute this to maintenance, as I am very vigilent about using oil and spray consistently. Bottom line on this one is that it does the job if you want to spend the extra time, but could/should be better for the money. The Trimmer - it worked for only 6 months, then went completely dead, turn the switch on and nothing! While it was alive, it worked fairly well for trimming around the ears and the back of the neck. It could be sharper/stronger. I was very disappointed that it stopped working. I've had to revert to my cheap-o $15 drug store trimmer that I use for my eyebrows/nose/ears to do replace this once is broke. And frankly, that cheap one does as good or a better job than the Andis trimmer. ... show more
