My miniature schnauzer has a fine curly coat and mats easily. She had some around her face that I thought were going to have to be cut out. I gave her a bath with good shampoo and conditioner and used the rake while conditioning and the matting came out. You have to work at it. But it works wonders! Highly recommend. ... show more

I got this thinking it was going to make brushing my boy’s coat easier but it’s not as easy as I had envisioned. Maybe it’s because my boy’s coat is too curly or sometimes hair is too coarse. I’ll keep trying.

This works good but kind of a large tool when working with a smaller dog. Seems to work about the same as a metal comb. Helps but doesn’t get through all the mats.

I have been searching for something to use on our Golden Doodle. We have tried quite a few and they either pull and upset her or they just don't work. I bought this and a comb and between the two I am SO impressed. She laid right down and let me tug away at the mats she had. I felt like it was pulling but she didn't even flinch. Not for home use! Salon trained professionals only! This dematting bladded "brush" really works well for serious matting that you dont want to shave. Comes in a case for blade protection and also safety. These blades are shatp af and will cut you or possibly a dog! But they get the job done
