My cats love this comb. I have a shorthair and a longhair cat, and both shed a lot. This comb helps remove their shedding fur, leaving their coats nice and smooth. The longhair cat is prone to getting tangled fur, and this comb has long enough teeth that it can get right through those tangles. The construction is metal and it seems sturdy. It holds up to vigorous combing of long fur very well. The comb doesn't weigh too much, so it's easy to use for longer periods. I have tendonitis and don't like using heavier combs and brushes when grooming the cats. This one is light enough that I can tolerate longer usage times. The teeth on the comb have two types, one end has a wider gap between the teeth and the other end has a narrower gap. You can switch from the larger one to the smaller one as you get more tangles removed and just want to smooth out the fur. The teeth have rounded tips so it won't scratch the cat's skin. The ends of the comb are also rounded, so there are no sharp edges. Metal construction seems sturdy and should last a long time. It's a good-sized comb and would work great for dogs too. It's a bit on the large size for cats, but my cats love it and it does the job.

ROPO Dog Comb for Detangling and Knots is made in China of stainless steel with an aluminum handle. This 7.5” x 1.2” comb is made of premium material and the lightweight aluminum handle makes it significantly lighter than the same size combs that I have that are all stainless steel. This comb only weighs 0.8 ounces compared to a full stainless steel comb that weighs 2.0 ounces. This lighter weight makes it easier for me to hold it for longer periods with my arthritic hands. I have three long haired high maintenance dogs and I homegroom them all. This comb is a basic tool for keeping their hair tangle free. The ends are rounded so they don’t hurt skin. I start at the base of their hair and comb upward to keep them free of any tangles or mats. ROPO Dog Comb for Detangling and Knots is a good quality comb and an excellent grooming tool.

This comb says in its description that it is suited for cats. It’s not. I have a short hair and a medium hair cat and even the small end is useless. It does seem to be well made and the ends of the teeth are rounded. I expect if you have a Persian or a dog with thick undercoat this comb would work well. The seller needs to advertise this item more accurately.

The ROPO Dog comb is a great tool to add to your daily dog grooming tool box. So far I've used this on several clients dogs and it's held up without losing any teeth, even after dropped numerous times. The thing I really enjoy about it is the weight. Typically combs are heavier and can be taxing on the arm after pulling through several hundred knots. This has not only helped save my strength but also held together through the most tangled fur/hair. After putting this to the test it has held it's shape and teeth. No bending or breaking even after dealing with the more unruly pups. It's been a fantastic tool that I now use daily. For a great price you'll get an even greater comb. I do wish they made this in a crescent shape like some of the newer models. The lightweight feeling I truly enjoy. It's definitely my go to for light to medium detangling.

This pet comb is high-quality, comfortable to use, and offers rounded metal pins that don’t scratch or irritate skin. With that said, at the current price of around $25, it’s exceptionally overpriced compared to others available on the market. The best thing about this comb is that it’s lightweight and easy to hold while combing out tangles, snarls, and loose fur. The style seems ideal for detangling and smoothing. The rounded tips on the comb are gentle against both skin and hands if you accidentally scrape yourself during a grooming session. I would say that this comb would work well for both short and long hair types, but it seems especially great for double-coated fur since the long tines make it easy to reach down through the top layer and really work on the undercoat. Overall, I would recommend this comb to most pet owners. I think it’s high-quality, well-made, and works well. My only complaint is about the pricing, but if it’s in your budget, it’s a solid investment.

My cat really likes this comb from The Ropo Store. The comb is well made from stainless steel, it has not sharp burrs or bad edges. The teeth are of a good length to help grab loose hairs from the coat and it's good at getting the tangles out of my cat. My cat that likes brushing is a big boy, he's about twenty five pounds and he's not fat, just a big cat. He doesn't groom his backside as well since he has gotten older and I believe that is why he likes brushing and combing so much now. I think he likes the comb more than his brush as he rubs it through his fur himself while I hold it. The comb is a little longer than I need for the cat at seven inches but it still works well for us.
